"Hey, B-Rok," said A.J. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," he replied.
"There's something," insisted A.J.
"How do you know?"
"We're watching 'Liar Liar' and you haven't recited everything Jim Carrey has said."
"You see right through me, Bone."
"Plus your lack of smiling or laughing for the last half hour kinda tipped me off. Let me guess why you're gloomy...you and Lisa got in a fight. Am I right?"
"You didn't tell him yet?" Kevin asked Brian.
"Tell me what?"
"I broke up with Lisa a few days ago."
"And you're sad because...?"
"Him and Andrea almost kissed and they're still just friends," said Kevin.
"I can't believe you didn't tell me all this!"
"You didn't miss much," said Brian. "Nick and Howie don't know yet so don't feel bad. Me and Andrea had a good talk and she's coming on tour with us. How about Patricia?"
A.J. lowered his head. "Ummm...no," he said softly. "She...she broke up with me."
"Why?" asked Kevin.
"I let a good thing go bad. I messed up. I've been trying not to think of this morning but I always end up thinking about her. I'm telling you guys, I felt like I lost the will to live when she said we were through."
"Did you try apologizing or anything?" asked Brian.
"This isn't something I can make better by apologizing, B-Rok. When I said I messed up, I mean I REALLY messed up. I can't even look in the mirror anymore without breaking down."
"What did you do?" asked Brian, determined to know.
"Let's just say..." A.J. lowered his head again. "...Patricia might be pregnant."
Kevin turned off the TV. A.J.'s head was still down. Brian and Kevin just gave each other a look as if saying, "Oh my God."
"I need help, guys. What do I do?"
"Have you talked to her since then?" asked Kevin.
"She told me not to talk to her or go to her house."
"Then write to her."
"Or call her when you know she's not home and leave her a message," suggested Brian.
"Yeah, maybe I will. Brian, you gotta get with Andrea."
"I know. I wish I could, but she's too afraid something will happen."
"All I'm saying is don't ruin something that could be great."
"Thanks, man. I'll keep that in mind."
"Good. You don't wanna end up like me. I lost the best thing I ever had. So, Kev. How are you and Allie?"
"Never better."
Brian and A.J. looked at each other and then whacked Kevin with some nearby pillows.
"What was that for?"
"For having a good relationship," said Brian.
"Would you like me to dump Allie to make you guys feel better?"
"It wouldn't hurt," replied A.J.
They all laughed for the first time all night.
