THE BIRTH
Moonlit winters blanket
Buried beneath the earth
The first break in the ice
Allows a gentle birth
Strength to push
Struggles to breathe
And in this, warm place,
We are bound to leave
Hold on tight, to what you knew
Thrust up and out, its time you grew
But don't forget, times we shared
Tears we shed, and nights we cared
The loneliness still bothers me
As anyone can see
But in the slow, gentle birth
I leave far behind this mother earth

SECURITY IN LOVE
I’ve got a secret
Deep inside of me
And with this secret
I can set you free
I’ve got a secret
Chewing at my heart
And with this secret
The chains fall apart
I’ve got a secret
Coursing through me veins
And with this secret
You can ride the rains
I’ve got a secret
Surrounding all I do
And with this secret
All your lies come true
I’ve got a secret
Flooding all my thoughts
And with this secret
I learn it isn’t all my fault
I’ve got a secret
Blocking all my hurt
And with this secret
I can raise my skirt
I got a secret
Eating all I try
And with this secret
I curl up in you and cry
THE MAIDEN AND THE ELF
When the crystaline moonlight touches the ground
When the emerald forrest stands grey without a sound
I shall come forth; to find you sleeping
I will move softly across the snow
Willing the stars to light a path and show
When I come forth; to find you sleeping
Upon my head; a crown of fire highlighted with frost
But in my heart; a firery longing for what is now lost
And I will come forth; to find you sleeping
Over the frozen lake; through thick underbrush
Willing the Gods to make the forrest green and lush
When I come forth; to find you sleeping
Upon my crown; a gift from you for my hair
Made from the wood you could ill afford to spare
And I come forth; to find you sleeping
Moving quickly through the once field of flowers - our spot!
Where we danced in the rain and love was thus taught
Yet I come forth; to find you sleeping
Upon my back; a blue cloak so pale and worn
But in my soul; a sinking feeling that it has been torn
When I come forth; to find you sleeping
Over a fallen tree; under the next broken limb
My feet leaving a trail fore I lack to cover them
But still I come forth; to find you sleeping
Upon my finger; a symbol of our love so true
But in my very bones; the knowledge I am now without you
And I come forth; to find you sleeping
Passing the cave where we slept side by side
And the empty feeling I can no longer abide
I shall come forth; to find you sleeping
Upon my hips; the weight of our forbidden love
And in her heart; your face is never to be known of
When we come forth; to find you sleeping
Lo there!
What has the icey earth all but covered?
Upon my lap; the face of that which I held most dear
And it would seem; we have come forth
To find you sleeping; upon your face a frozen tear

FOR ANDY
Seen many times
Through dreamers eyes
Liquid feelings rain
Down your painted skies
Soaring the tops of mountains
Your horizon drifts like the sea
Crystal waves of wonder
An ocean of destiny
Brushes up to your rocky shore
The heartfelt longing never more
