Born on Vulcan, T'Sela is the only child of Sarel & T'Shonne. Her developmental years were average. They included basic instruction on Vulcan mind techniques and the obligatory Kahs-wan at the age of 8.
After finishing her primary & secondary education on Vulcan, T'Sela enrolled in Starfleet Academy. She proved to be an exceptional student with a quick mind and an uncanny understanding of her fellow classmates. Starfleet counselors felt this was in part due to the fact that she considered the principles of IDIC to be the very foundation upon which the United Federation of Planets was based. She was and is one of the few Vulcans who truly seem to enjoy the company of humans & all their idiosyncrasies.
T'Sela graduated 2nd in her class at Starfleet Academy. She was granted the position of science officer aboard Science Vessel, USS Yamamura. During her tenure aboard the Yamamura, T'Sela advanced in rank from ensign to commander.
T'Sela was then transferred to the USS Celestia as executive officer where she served with distinction for 6 years. She was well liked by her crewmates and had a reputation as a master poker player.
Promoted to captain, T'Sela was given command of the USS Zephyr. Her quiet style of command gave the ship a relaxed atmosphere. T'Sela inspired an unusual loyalty among her crew.
After 10 years of commanding the USS Zephyr, T'Sela reluctantly accepted a promotion to commodore & transferred to starbase 118. The facility ran smoothly under her watchful eye. Her interests in archaeology, Vulcan literature & Greek mythology, became more intense as she had more than enough time to pursue them at her leisure.
The only time T'Sela truly regretted accepting a starbase assignment came when the Borg attempted an attack on Earth. T'Sela had been working with Starfleet's research & development department on creating a modulated phase shielding device that would help protect starships and space stations from Borg attacks. Although her contribution to the project was invaluable, she regretted & mourned the enormous loss of life caused by the attack at Wolf 359.
After 10 years at Starbase 118, T'Sela was promoted to Admiral and was recruited by Fleet Admiral Ivan Dean to serve as political advisor and personnel coordinator for the ECF. T'Sela readily accepted the position. Her uncanny knack for organization and attention to detail was exactly what Starbase 7 needed. T'Sela soon developed a close working relationship with her counterparts at Starbase 7 and found herself enjoying the rapport they shared. Eight months later, it was with mixed feelings that she accepted the temporary assignment of CEO of Starbase 7. Fleet Admiral Dean had announced his retirement and had recommended T'Sela be placed in command of the ECF. She accepted a temporary rank increase to Fleet Admiral and buried herself in her work. Through a private subspace channel, T'Sela kept in contact with Dean and eventually; as the ECF expanded persuaded him to return.
With Fleet Admiral Dean's return to the ECF, T'Sela readily relinquished her temporary rank and once again resumed her original duties which include overseeing the smooth operation of all ECF departments, mediation and maintaining and updating the ECF's database mainframe. Admiral T'Sela is second in command of the ECF.
