ECF Directives Acceptance Pledge

I, Tai'ts Mhiessan Sahen hereby accept and promise to abide by as well as uphold all the Directives of the Exploratory Crews of the Federation.

Ael Mhiessan Sahen and her mate visited her family at their home in Mhiessan where she went in to labor almost three months early. The child born to her was severely under weight but, proved to have powerful lungs, a robust appetite and an indomitable will to live. Ael named her children after their ancestors but, for her newborn son she choose a unique name to match his unique personality and selected his name from amongst the immortals. Tai'ts is a poorly mispronounced name of one of the ancient gods.

Tai'ts grew up happy and healthy. Because he was shorter lighter then most boys at his age, he got hurt a lot. Mainly, the injuries were the result of childish recklessness. On one instance, Tai'ts and his best friend Taev jumped out of a boat to see how far they could float. They ended going over a small water fall and were lost for almost three weeks.

As he grew older, he was picked on because of his small size and fair features. He was often called mama's "little girl" for it was apparent that he enjoyed a good. loving relationship with all of his family even though other families would have cast him out for his weak looking body. What Tai'ts lacked in strength, he made up for with speed, agility and an unwavering cheerful personality.

At a young age, Tai'ts joined the Romulan Star Navy to fulfill his dream of going into space. While visiting home on leave from the Academy, his sanity was nearly shattered as a Romulan named Brak broke in to his home and killed his younger sister before his eyes. Tai’ts tried to stop the murder but the Romulan stabbed him in his left shoulder with the same wicked edged knife that claimed his sisters life.

After his recovery, he went back to the Academy. His renewed eagerness and thirst for knowledge allowed him to graduate early. Because of his fathers rank in the fleet, he was assigned to a warbird.

His career in the Star Navy was short lived. After the death of his father and older brother in the dominion war, he left the Star Navy. He still blamed himself for his sisters' death and the grief he felt made it unbearable for him to see anything that reminded him of them. Tai'ts still tends to get rather irritated at anyone who tries to help him with his grief. He deals with his loss privately.

For two months he bounced from ship to ship. When he reached Earth, he had little knowledge of Earth customs. He applied to Starfleet Academy and once again, proved to be a quick study. Upon graduation, Tai'ts joined the ECF.

Posted aboard the Lexington, he quickly fell in love with the ship and now is trying hard to leave his past in the past and move on with his life.
