ECF Directives Acceptance Pledge

I, Robert Friend Karo hereby accept and promise to abide by as well as uphold all the Directives of the Exploratory Crews of the Federation.

Dr. Karo grew up in a small town in south Louisiana where he spent much of his time in the wilderness with his grandfather. At age 18, he enrolled in Starfleet Academy Medical School at the New Orleans campus where excelled in his studies and was a star shooter on the Academy shooting team. After graduation, he took a leave of absence for three years to pursue personal interests.

Dr. Karo is what could be considered a modern day draftee doctor. He attended the Academy for the purpose of med school and saw the military as a secondary factor. He has been known to be insubordinate to his superiors and lacking in his military discipline. However his skills as a physician have made up for this in the eyes of his past superiors.

On a personal level the man sees himself an old fashioned southern gentleman. Very respectful toward women and very quick to defend their or his honor. During his time at the Academy, he lost his imzadi in a shuttle accident. This lead to a temporary drop in grades and a short LOA during his fifth year at the Academy.
