Commander Juliette Lynn James

Personal Profile: Juliette L. James

ECF Directives Acceptance Pledge

I,Juliette Lynn James hereby accept and promise to abide by as well as uphold all the Directives of the Exploratory Crews of the Federation.

Juliette Lynn James was born on October 26, 2357 in Janaran Falls, Betazed. Her parents were members of Betazed’s Eighth House. Juliette was the last of three children including an older sister, Angelina Arianna, and her identical twin sister, Christine. An internal conflict erupted in the Eighth House and in the bloody skirmish, Juliette’s parents were brutally murdered. The visions still haunt her today, the sight of her mother’s lifeless eyes gazing towards the ceiling. At the age of four years old, Juliette and her sisters Angelina and Christine were all placed in an orphanage. Shortly, Angelina was taken by their aunt and uncle, Christine was adopted by a local family on Betazed, and Juliette was adopted by a Terran couple by the names of Mitchell and Lynn James.

Growing up in Honolulu, Hawai'i, Juliette never heard of such things as psychokinetic powers, since her father whom was in Starfleet often left her and her mother behind in Hawai'i during his stints on starships so she might live a normal life. Her father was an Engineer on the USS Denara. Her mother was a rather famous suspense holonovel writer in the local area. Soon, after Juliette learned how to program holonovels, she began writing as well. These stories were bloody in nature and often gruesome. Despite that, her schoolmates indulged in her novels. During her senior year of high school, she talked at length with her father about joining Starfleet Academy instead of going to the University of Hawai'i Honolulu. Her father happily agreed to help her any way he could and even went with her when she was accepted after graduation of high school from Honolulu High School in June of 2376.

In August of 2376, Juliette began attending classes at Starfleet Academy in San Francisco, California. The atmosphere was surely different than anything she had encountered before. There were aliens here, not the Terrans she was used to, since at the time she thought she was a Terran. She made a small group of friends whilst in her first year, but studying dominated most of her time. Though she did party on the weekends somewhat, the weekdays she was indulged in study of warp mechanics, and general starship design, as well as her core classes. She struggled through her first year of the academy, passing with a 3.3 GPA. Relieved to have gotten through her first year, she signed up for more classes shortly during the two month break between academic years.

In her fourth year at the Academy, she was given the opportunity to do her studies aboard the fleet ECF’s newly commissioned Nova Class Refit II starship, the USS Nebuchadnezzer NCC-50103. Filling out the necessary papers, the transfer was shortly made, sending her for the first time into space. She continued her studies between Alpha shifts, taking her spot as Chief Engineer (CENG) of the newly commissioned starship. Her GPA remained steady, as did her work, the constant modifications and EPS conduit rebuilding knocking into her study time. The first confrontation the Nezzer, as it was nicknamed, encountered was Klingons. Though the threat was neutralized easily, she felt shaken, but at the same time exhilarated in the experience, having fought one with just piping. Her final year of being a Cadet passed quickly.

She had previously been dating Ensign Sushek from the USS Concorde, but it fizzled out quickly when he became involved with her best friend, E'Lita Jarani. Distraught, she began dating a young Cadet named "Artemis" GreyWolf-to-Ennien and they became engaged shortly. It seemed like a fairytale until the differences caused Juliette to call it off. In a matter of weeks she became engaged to her third ever boyfriend, John William “JB” Mackamon (the Chief Science Officer (CSCI) of the USS Nebuchadnezzer) in June of 2380 at the age of 22. On July 26, 2380, they married on the planet of TruWelkin, but sadly a rogue faction of Bajorans intruded upon the wedding and Captain Jenn Nadire was murdered, dying in the bride’s arms. Distraught, Juliette ran off from the wedding party after the Nezzer’s phaser banks took out the rogue faction to the planet’s surface. Juliette nearly fell off a cliff when JB ordered her to be beamed up to the Nezzer. Shortly after, in the sickbay of the Nezzer, all the senior staff were present when Captain Nadire’s body was discovered to be that of a Cardassian turned Bajoran fake. The real Nadire was out there somewhere..

Nadire had disappeared during the Nezzer’s first stop at Deep Space 9. She had taken a runabout and left for the Bajoran Wormhole to visit her parents on New Bajor, leaving her two newborn sons in excellent care. The runabout had returned with whom everyone thought to be Jenn. Once the information was dispersed throughout the ship, the Nezzer took off to find their honorable Captain. They finally located her Borg signature (since she had once nearly been assimilated months before on the USS Technica as the Executive Officer (XO). Rescuing her, she escaped with a cloaking device stolen from the Cardassians whom had held her. The cloak had been stolen previously from the Romulans. This broke the Treaty of Algernon in which Federation starships could not use cloaks.

Juliette fitted the cloaking device to the Nezzer. As well as that, a Chrono device was installed. They traveled back in time to the 14th century to grab a piece of The Eye of The Universe that could destroy the whole universe if the Cardassians were to have it. The mission was against Starfleet, but they didn't care, they continued with their mission, collecting the pieces one at a time. On November 1, 2380, they came aboard a station they were tricked into thinking was Ferengi. It was Deep Space 13, the story Juli had written. She had written that story because this was the epicenter of the Collina Silenziosa's cult beliefs. After finding an ancient coin that needed to be destroyed to save her crew, she devoured it, thus bursting into flames and causing the station to explode with just her on it, as the crew transported safely back to Nezzer. Hours later, she reappeared on the Bridge in a glowing white light. Her telepathy was heightened as was her empathy and she now possessed limited telekinesis and limited pyrokinesis.

When The Eye mission was concluded, the Nezzer returned to DS9 where Fleet Admiral Dean and Admiral T'Sela were waiting. The crew had off duty time whilst Captain Nadire was court-martialed and sentenced to one month aboard the old Daedalus Class USS Curie along with her crew. Nezzer was docked at DS9 and the crew took off in the USS Curie, which had no holodecks, no replicators, no shields, no torpedoes, etc. Their mission was to fix it up and go through the Delvitid Expanse. Nothing was supposed to be there. Shortly after arriving, the men of the crew became attracted to some Sirens and almost killed themselves and the women. The next week proved nearly fatal when Juli and Nadire became imprinted with the fears of the past female crew from the Curie and they almost killed some of their male crew. Juli used her telekinesis/pyrokinesis to blow consoles and light bulkheads on fire. Earlier she had found a bloody console with an empathic imprint on it, along with clothing, and a note to get off of the Curie.

After the ordeal, Juli was sedated and brought to Sickbay where Nadire was taken after being Vulcan neck pinched by Counselor John Rollings. Nadire was fine when she woke up, but Juli was not, she had no memory of anything after when she was on DS9 and her engagement to "Artemis" GreyWolf-to-Ennien, when the faux Bajorans kidnapped the Captain, eight months before. Her marriage to JB was over, for she did not really remember him.

Juliette continued her time on the Nezzer, but felt uncomfortable near her former husband, JB. He shortly re-married to a new Cadet named Sabrina Suder whom became pregnant with his triplets. Juliette began to feel heartbroken and began recovering her memories. The pain was too harsh for her and she left the Nezzer at the rank of Commander to the USS Blackhawk NCC-11101, an Akira Class starship. She reclaimed her old flame, Artemis and they once again became engaged. They married on the Nezzer in a joint ceremony with Juli's friend and former colleague, Farzon Jaran and his bride Marika Xinia (both joined Trills), but the marriage was never consummated. Artemis was originally a Betazoid male, but through genetic manipulation was transformed into a Sivaoan (felinoid). For a time he was Betazoid again when they married, but he decided to turn back into a Sivaoan not long after Juliette married him. It proved too much for her and they got an annulment.

Juli plunged into the depths of depression and took a leave of absence. She returned to the Blackhawk after two months. Sadly, near to a mental breakdown, she took another leave of absence, just after she had taken over the Chief Science Officer (CSCI) post. Starfleet intervened and re-assigned her to an assignment she cannot speak of to this day.

After a few months, Juli was re-assigned to the USS Concorde NCC-4178 as their Chief Engineer (CENG). She didn't get to serve there long before Starfleet intervened and she was whisked away without a word as to her whereabouts again.

A year and a half passed and no one had heard from her, not even her adoptive parents. She showed up again, this time taking on the position of Duty Officer (DO) on the USS Nebuchadnezzer NCC-50103.
