ECF Directives Acceptance Pledge

I, Daniel E. Conway hereby accept and promise to abide by as well as uphold all the Directives of the Exploratory Crews of the Federation.

Living on a Small Farm in Middle Michigan was where Dan started building his own ship. Although many believed a 14 year old boy could not do this, he continued to do so. With the help of his grandfather, he built the Ship Star Runner and its Maiden Voyage took off from their farm when Dan was 18.

While not having the resources to fly his ship, he began to work with hand held weapons. He built his own design of weapons making a small profit, enough to get shield generators, phasers and other must needs added to his ship. He later added a warp drive capable of warp 3 to his ship. While on a vacation he got into a brawl with a Klingon at a small outpost. Using one of his weapons he came out winning but his left eye suffered damage. Dan refuses to have Starfleet medical repair the damage.

When he returned home he was sent to Starfleet. His father felt that Starfleet would curb up his increasing defiance and channel Daniel's energies in the right direction. He was planned to stay in Starfleet training only for the Academy experience and training, but decided to continue his studies of weapons and ship designs. Although he is very good with a tool he is best at a tactical station or using a phaser.
