Al's mother died at birth so he never really knew what she was like, his father hardly ever spoke about her at all and will still avoid doing so to this day. At the coming of age, which was about six years old, Al was sent to a Gorn military academy where he spent eighteen years of his life becoming a child prodigy, and what his father would hope he would become, the perfect soldier. Al and his father didn't have the greatest personal relationship either considering they hardly ever saw each other, but Al's father loves him dearly, he would never admit it though, the same would go for al. Al's father would do almost anything now to get back in Al's life. Al really doesn't like Gorn females that much on account that they are usually naturally stronger and more vicious then the males, so he looks else where for a mate. Since he is a Gorn he sometimes dislikes the way he looks and hates the fact that no one outside of S'sgarnon will look at him. Al enjoys his new position in Star fleet and loves the fact that he has what he has always wanted, a family.
