I m not entirely sure exactly what the title of this CD means, but the music Surreal Perdition has put together here certainly conveys a sense of the
most diabolical and abysmal degree of spiritual ruin. From the icy cold vocal passages to the epic majesty of the music, this is a tumultous journey
through extreme emotional turmoil. The nine tracks here are grouped into three separate and distinct suites, each a powerful and evocative musical
vista of haunting ambience and dark melancholy. Utilising grandiose arrangements and instrumentation that entwines doom-laden heavy passages
with ominous quieter acoustic sections, Surreal Perdition evokes a sense of grandeur which Tony Jarrett s production has only helped them to
convey. A good first effort.
