Good ! ! ! Now you will get a better knowledge of Alfred and his wife Josette. Alfred started doing Magic at the age of 10. He always used to watch the Italian Television Station RAI ( at that time it was the only T.V. viewed in Malta) where he used to see the shows of Silvan and others like Tony Binarelli.
He read books about Magic especially The Tarbel Course of Magic. Houdini,Encyclopedia of Magic by Henry Hay, The Great Illusionists by Edwin A Dawes, Blackstone and others. He used to live at Rabat Malta where often he used to visit the Boschetto Gardens. Then he started to Balance things on his nose like a wooden stick (Balancing) and play with three oranges(Juggling).

He is more known in Malta as the Best BALANCER on the ISLAND. People call him The Balancing Magician. Josette and Alfred live at Sliema Malta. Their stage name is:
THE BALANCING DUO.

Alfred was asked to give advise for plays involving
and Circus acts like 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' , 'Il Bugiardo' by Carlo Goldoni and other famous plays at our National Manoel Theatre.

Why is Alfred so good to give children's shows?
They know him and enjoy his shows. He is often asked to take part
in STAFF DEVELOPMENT for TEACHERS
In 1978 he took part in the best Circus which visited our Island :
The DEMAR circus : Alfred was the first Maltese entertainer who performed in a circus. He later joined other circuses to perform his great mastery of Balancing. He took part in T.V. programmes like :
Blanzuni, Ronda Weekend, Meta L-Weraq Ihaddar, Tiritombla, Ramel u Borra,
Kid Pix, U mela Le..

Alfred is a Malta University Graduate and presently he is the Assistant Head
of Carmela Sammut Primary School Mosta Malta.
He studied at the Universities of SIENA, FIRENZE and PERUGIA.
He attended special courses such as:Lateral Thinking/Thinking Skills by Professor Edward DE Bono,
Advanced Drama Technique and other important lectures.
In November 1993 he travelled to Coventry where he attended a special course in Science for Teachers.
During his visit he was asked by school administrators to deliver a short spot of Magic, and organise school assemblies in Birmingham, Coventry and in Oxford. All these make Alfred a very active, full of resources man, ready to give the best in whatever he does. If you would like to write to Alfred this is his Address:
