dexter's laboratory character descriptions
For all of you who are new to this or want to know a little more, here's some small descriptions of the Dexter's Laboratory characters.
Dexter is a very short little redheaded boy. He's a super-genius but doesn't have much common sense. Hidden behind several secret panels in his cute pink house is an enormous laboratory created entirely by himself. It's his love for science, hatred for sports, unpopularity at school, and pale skin from lack of exposure to the sun that makes him so much like myself and so lovable.
Just about the only thing that can stand between Dexter and his lab is his older sister DeeDee. DeeDee is a dimwit blonde with blue eyes, tall, thin, and wears a ballet suit. Although she is constantly destroying one of her brother's inventions or just getting on his nerves, her intentions are usually good. Her two best freinds are MeeMee and LeeLee.
They sometimes play Ponypuff Princess with her.
Then there are Dexter's and DeeDee's parents, Mom and Dad. They're not very intelligent but they love their children very much. Mom spends almost all her time in the kitchen wearing her yellow gloves. Dad loves to watch sports and sit on the couch with a foam dome and lives for Mom's muffins. Makes you wonder where Dexter came from.
Astro Nomenoff, or Mandark as he likes to be called, is Dexter's sickening rival. He's also a genius with a laboratory in his house, but he's a lot more rude, obnoxious, and self-centered than Dexter. However, he has a weakness -- he's in love with DeeDee!
We can't forget DeeDee's imaginary friend Koos-A-La-Goop-A-Goop. He's colourful and magical and can change size. He comes from a beautiful fantasy land that could only be created in a little girl's mind. Dom Deluise guest stars as Koos's voice.
Action Hank! The name speaks for itself. He's Dexter's favorite TV star. Hank is a muscular "G.I. Joe" sort of realistic superhero. He is hardcore!
Monkey is just another one of Dexter's lab experiments... or is he? Actually, Monkey stars in his own episodes called Dial M for Monkey. They usually don't feature Dexter, but sometimes they do. Monkey lives in Dexter's lab but Dexter doesn't realize that he is one of th greatest and most powerful superheroes in the universe. When mind-contacted by Agent Honeydew, a black-haired British girl, he instantly transforms into MONKEY and can do just about anything.
Last but not least we have The Justice Friends, Major Glory, Val Hallen, and The Infragible Krunk. Often joing forces with Monkey, they're out to save the universe. Major Glory is the all-American guy whom Dexter looks up to as much as Einstein. Val Hallen is the Viking rocker, and Krunk is the big strong purple guy. The Justice Friends have their own episodes as well, "facing the challenges of everyday life!"
