The Value of Sharing
Sharing has an immense value. I did not hear of Michael's death until two days after it happened. I was absolutely numb, and in shock. There are still times when I can't believe this has happened. I have been a fan for 15 years. The music of INXS has shared the good times with me and it has seen me through some of the worst times I have ever experienced. I just couldn't believe that a big chunk of my life had been forever changed.
It wasn't until the next day that I visited an INXS chat room. I do not express my emotions very well. Up until that time, I had not even been able to listen to any of the music. But people in the chat room were talking. Through communicating with them, I was able, for the first time, to feel this tremendous loss. This allowed me to begin to express some of my emotions. I was even able to listen to the music that night. Sharing with others, for me, was the first step in beginning to be able to heal, because it allowed me to accept.
