After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security.
And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises.
And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up high and your eyes ahead with the grace of a woman and not the grief of a child.
And you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in the middle of flight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure, that you really are strong, and you really do have worth.

Everyone Longs to give themselves completely to someone. To have a deep soul relationship with someone. To be loved thoroughly, and exclusively. But God,to a Christian says, "No, not until you are satisfied, fulfilled, and content with being loved by Me alone, -- With giving yourself totally and unreservedly to Me, With having an intensely personal and unique relationship with me alone. Discovering that only in Me is your satisfaction to be found, Will you be capable of the perfect human relationship That I have planned for you.
You will never be united with another until you are united wit me, Exclusive of any one or anything else, Exclusive of any other desires or longings. I want you to stop planning, stop wishing And allow me to give you the most thrilling plan existing-- One you cannot imagine.
