Born: September 5, 1939 in Goulburn, Australia Possibly one of the top two Bond's ever, George Lazenby lit up the screen in 1969 with the creation of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service." Though, it would be a one stop movie for Lazenby, it was one that will forever be remembered as a love story, and some of the greatest action sequences in the James Bond series. Lazenby had the wit, charm, and the look of James Bond. Whether it be him landing his uppercuts in the face of a villian, or charming Ruby in the allergy clinic, George Lazenby could do it all. Lazenby got the part by being well-liked by the people at MGM/UA, he was paid a retainer fee so that he would stay in London. He lied and said he was a playboy that liked fast cars, and other expensive things. The producers liked him, and brought him on. It was all downhill from there for George Lazenby. He was fueding with the director of "OHMSS," and ordered some of his friends off the set becuase, "they weren't treating him like a star." Lazenby fueded thoughout the film, until the end, when he quit and sailed around the world. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
