It
is a genus of three species of the IRIS family,
native to South Africa, widely grown in hot houses,
& outdoors in mild climates. They are tender eighteen
inch (18-inch) or 46 centimeters perennial bulbs with
flat eaves, branching stems, and loose clusters of
funnel-shaped frangrant flowers, ranging from WHITE
to lavender
pink,
yellow
and orange.
In
the last fifty yrs., many varieties
had already been developed from F. Refracta.
