It all started at New York's World Famous Apollo Theater as a booming base track pumped out the distinctive remix version of "Never Lie" Kelton Kessee a.k.a. LDB(Little Drummer Boy), of superstar R&B group Immature sat on a high platform behind his drum set kickin' phat beats and accenting the song's funky tempo. Lead singer Marques "Batman" Houston and head rapper Jerome "Romeo" Jones rocked the mics, taking the lyrics over the hump.
There's no better drummer his age . Chris Stokes replaced Don because he wasn't working out with the group but he's still their friend and they wish him the best.
LDB's promotion to Immature's first string comes on the best showing the group has made since it's 1991 On Our Worst Behavior debut. Playtyme Is Over, the group's first gold MCA album, also the gold smash "Never Lie", and it's following hit "Constantly".
LDB really likes all the attention he gets from female fans it makes the hard work really worthwhile. For him it's the music and live shows that are the best things about Immature. Remembering tapping out beats to soul and rap songs as far back as two years of age, LDB got his first set of drum set. His mother and Father told him how they knew since he was a baby that he would be a drummer. When he got his first set all he did was played until it drove everyone crazy in the house.
The method to LDB's madness led to his gig with Immature. At the time he was putting it together, the group's founder and producer Chris Stokes was amazed by LDB's skills on the skins. He wanted a young band for the group once he got turned on to Kelton and saw that he was a professional player he put him down with them. He was the one who gave him the name LDB because he was little (not anymore) and the best drummer boy he ever heard.
LDB looks forward to recording and concert successes. Immature has given him chances and opportunities most black kids his age will never have. He thanks god for making his dream come true. For LDB, Immature's dynamic, different drummer, the beat of sweet success goes on and on, ...and...*
