Christ's Returning Soon--Why We Know This

The Bible tells us what signs to observe marking the return of Jesus Christ to earth. Each of the major signs is addressed below.

The Rebirth and Recreation of Israel

In Luke 21:24, Jesus predicts the return of the Jews, who would be scattered around the world, to their homeland. There are also 91 other prophetic references in the Bible to this event.

Since Israel was recreated on May 14, 1948, we can consider this prophecy fulfilled. Further, with the total recapture of Jerusalem in the 1967 Six Day War, another prophecy is fulfilled, too, that the Jews would control their own capitol.

Decreasing Morality

This is described in II Timothy 3:1-4. Observe the current culture. Unless your senses are dulled and conscience dead, you will find that the increase in gross immorality described in this Bible passage is underway.

Wars, Violence and Rumors of War

This is predicted by Jesus in Matthew 24:6-8. Since 1990, the world has seen 82 wars--and all of three of them have been civil wars and ethnic hatreds (pretty much as Jesus had foretold).

Earthquakes in Diverse Places

Statistically, earthquakes are increasing in frequency worldwide. Using only earthquakes measuring 6.0 or more on the Richter Scale, there were 51 such quakes in the 1940's, 475 in the 1980's, and 1,540 such earthquakes so far in the 1990's--and this decade isn't over yet.

Growth of Cults and the Occult

This was predicted in Matthew 24:24 and I Timothy 4:1. If you read newspapers and magazines and watch TV, you will be astounded at the extent to which such groups and their weird demonic practices are flourishing.

An Explosion in Travel, Education and Information

This was predicted in Daniel 12:4, and it is undeniable that this travel increase is taking place now. Knowledge is doubling every two or three years. And look at the impact of the Internet.

Introduction of "The New World Order"

A one-world government, similar to the old Roman Empire, is near. Just observe the news. This is described in Daniel 7-12, Matthew 24, and Revelation 13. Look to the European Common Market and related activities to see how these prophecies also are being fulfilled.

Increase in Apostasy

This was predicted in II Timothy 3:5. Just look at the current Christian Church, particularly the old "mainline denominations" and the apostasy of their liberal leadership. This prophecy, too, is being fulfilled.

Look Up--Your Redeemption Draws Near !!!

Nearly 2,000 years ago, Jesus said that when we saw these "signs of the times," it was not the end of the age--but almost. When these signs appeared, it was the beginning of the end, and He was about to return.

Statistically, it is nearly impossible for these signs to be appearing and being fufilled simultaneously as a chance happening or fluke. So if you aren't born again and saved because your faith is low, please let the laws of statistical probability convince you that it's timed to get saved today--before Jesus returns.
