BFU DeHavilland DHC-6 Twin Otter
Created (again) 12/8/02

This is my first repaint, so I'm not sure if I'm doing everything correctly. If I made a mistake, or if you have a question or comment, please e-mail me.

NOTE: THIS IS ONLY A REPAINT. It requires the original plane in the dhc6_2k2v1.zip package (made for FS2002) by Steven Grant and Fred Choate, available at the avsim.com file library.

If you want to ignite a fire on the engine, add the following lines to the Aircraft.cfg file:

[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0=0.00, -2.00,  9.40, fx_engsmoke

Then while you're flying, just press the "I" key.

INSTALLATION:

To install the repaint, all you have to do is unzip the files into a temporary folder, then move the texture folder into the folder of the Montana Air Twin Otter (named DeHavilland DHC-6, unless you changed it). Then add the following lines to the aircraft.cfg file:

[FLTSIM.#] REPLACE # WITH THE NEXT NUMBER AFTER THE LAST ONE IN THE FILE. REMOVE THIS LINE WHEN DONE

description=De Havilland Canada's Twin Otter is another success story for the company. Developed at the height of Caribou sales, the DHC-6 carried the company through its difficult period.\n One reason the Twin Otter was so successful is because it bridged two marketing periods in aviation history\s US military business and commuter airline business.\n Building on the already successful Otter, de Havilland increased its dimensions, payload and fuel capacity. They also responded to comments made in 1963 by pilots

That should be it.
