KZA (aka "Kevin- the Slim Monk", "Mad Dog Muligan", "Elephant Man" or "Balentine's Finest") Not to be mistaken with "the Klan," my clan began when I moved to Terceira in 1997 and met the young Prince Kza. Our army was then filled out by a legion of bizzare, yet like-minded, fellows. An odd bunch of gypies they were too: Kent the Purple Butterfly, Mete the Grasshopper, Scott who threw tantrums, and James the Red-Headed Wonder. Within a year these wanderers had vanished mysteriously and permenantly. Kza and I then took the throne of the Terciera, and ruled for many moons. As our most intelectual member Kevin has surpassed us all by graduating from a private college with a degree in Chemistry. Brilliant and gregarious by nature he is possessed of a very low brow humor that is very endearing. He was my first best friend, and my primary confidant during those turbulent teenage years. His mother pours me drinks when we meet. Beware his flying knees however, the "elephant" is the true peril of the North.

Curtis aka "Dethwulf" or "Drunk Monk"- is the Ladies man of the clan. Late into 1998, we discovered that a strange new character had hit the rocky shoals. Curtis began life in the Ruckus place by hanging out with a very different crowd,(one that I tended to sneer at) but soon abandoned. He preferred to spend his time with the bizzare Kza and I. He was my very first "drinking buddy." Curt has a natural charisma that easily makes him the most popular of the Clan. He said goodbye to the island in 2001, and now that he lives and works in Florida, his pad will always be a preferred vacation spot.

Rich aka "Spaz: the Purple Monkey", "Dark" or "Silent Monk" - In the summer of 1999, the island was again hit by a new face. We were soon introduced to the mysterious and quiet Richard. Unlike Curtis, Richard was an immediate member of the Clan, and in his skills and personality he was like an unlikely combination of all of us. Thus he made our quartet of brilliance complete. Those who know him know that he is a trustworthy and honorable man. He is possessed of a dry and extremely sharp wit, and I think is the cleverest of us all. After spending some time doing Missionary work in Brazil, Spazz has returned and is busy putting his new life in Texas back into order.
