"Ernies problem" UPDATE SEPT. 06

I will be some-what disgusted if one can loose one's salvation just for writing an encouraging letter to some Jews, pointing out that the proposal to give up Gaza with no agreement for peace, or holt of hostilities, would be very bad for Israel, as it would greatly encourage the muslims to believe that suicide bombing and rocket attacks were the way to destroy Israel. (see extracts on Israel's war and some history.) Also witnessed for Jesus in that it was foretold, and Gods written word cannot be broken, God had planed it, so the Jews couldn't frustrate it, nor could the Romans, it was God's responsibility. (Can anyone explain from the Bible what would have happened if the Jewish leaders had accepted Jesus as the Messiah, could they have, and how would we get salvation?) Jesus said that these things (his crucifiction- resurection) must happen, read Mark Ch8 v27-38, also Mark Ch10 v33-34.

Under the impression that satan is our enemy, and I am sure as many others are, that he is also the enemy of the jews, I mentioned a verse, but didn't quote it, but gave the Bible old testament reference, but perhaps the jewish reference may be different. It is common for christians to believe that satan is desperate to get the jews out of the promised land to defeat God's promise of blessing the jews in the promised land when the Messiah comes as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah to save his chosen people. Satan knows his time is short, and keeping the Jews out of the promised land may extend his, satans, time as the ruler of the world. He can also destroy more people so that God can't have them, so that they will be his, just a spiteful numbers game. When he offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world, his lordship over them was not disputed. He is temporally the prince or god of this world. See Matthew Ch4 v8-11, and John Ch14 v30. As Joshua entered the promised land to disposes the evil inhabitants and restore it to Gods kingdom, so too will the Messiah enter the world, to disposes the evil rulers and evil inhabitants of the entire world, which Jesus is the rightful owner of. There are a lot of similarities between Joshua's conquests and the coming Messiah's entry into the earth to posses it.

It seems probable that since satan is the prince or god of this world, was a murderer from the beginning, and as lucifer he became proud and rebelled, that he is being worshiped by people who take on his characteristics as this glorifies his character, but no matter how hard they try they cannot remove Gods chosen people from the promised land, now that they have returned in the "end times", see Daniels prophesy. As long as the earth exists they will inhabit the land. They have had a remnant there ever since Joshua conquered the land.

Looking at the situation in human terms, if for some unknown reason God has said "you are not saved" but it was over some misunderstanding, will he put it right and repair the damage that was done? There are places in the Bible that say that if God says something he will not change his mind, but what if that conflicts with His written word, and the promises He has made to that person.? Will he relent? If I didn't do what I was accused of, can I eventually get restoration. If what has happened conflicts with his written word, does it take precedence over the written word? He is a God of justice, how then could he continue to use a false accusation, or misunderstanding, if there was one?
The Holy Spirit is given as a guarantee of our salvation, and, from my experience, can apparently be revoked at any instant, without consultation or warning. What distresses me is that Jesus, my saviour, as far as I can tell, didn't bat an eyelid, or ask if the accusation was true, and so far has shown no indication that he cares.
I will never leave you or forsake you, but communication has been disconnected. How can you have a close relationship with someone who pulls the plug and ends all conversation? Do my prayers get any further than my mouth? Are they noted?
( ref Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.)
One time when the verse, Hebrews 13:5, was quoted my spirit got very upset. I couldn't tell at the time what was happening, but concluded months later that God was rubbing my nose in the dirt, "this is what you could have had, but now you never will", but I can't find out why or even imagine that something I said or did could be twisted into a reason for this. One councillor said "if you sinned you would know" but I don't, so did I?

Those who come to me I will never drive away, John Ch.6 v 37, V40, but I can't imagine that this is not having that effect. Has he then broken his written word? (I can only consider this as a human, as I cannot get God's guidance.) It would have to be over something very serious, but no such thing happened. (ref john 6 v37n - 40)
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Romans 1 v16 16 ¶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Do I get a chance at the Great White Throne judgement to put my case and find out why he has done this? It seems that I will turn up without the Holy Ghost, that is without the guarantee of salvation, without my name written in the Book of Life, but still a believer in Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit, and on their side against evil, and believing in a literal creation a few thousand years ago, with all the events described in the Bible.
At that time after giving my account he may say "that may be so but, as with millions of others, you are not in the book, and the entries are closed" Does it matter to God if he throws a few extra into the lake? Again this is viewed from a human perspective, as if dealing with humans.

It is nearly two years now, and I am glad that I have made a record of the events, though some of the more stressful things have yet to be written. It is getting harder to remember how some things felt. I think that many people could have lost their salvation, and because of the stress their minds may have blocked out the memory. They may continue to go on as christians out of habit, not being aware that the Holy Ghost has left them, but still holding to the gospel and Gods standards, the stress gradually dies down and the new becomes the standard, the old being forgotten. Others of course may drift away from the faith, even becoming hostile towards it, as I could easily have done in bitterness over the attack. Usually people need some incentive to keep them going. If you loose your work or perceived purpose, you tend to wind down and need to find some incentive, or project to work towards.
Romans 1 v16 16 ¶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
2 Tim 1 v12 12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
1 Corinthians 1 v 18 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
Matthew Ch10 v32 "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my father in heaven".
Is this a lifeline if all else fails will acknowledging Jesus establish which side I am on and regain my salvation? I have always had a liking for Matthew Ch12 v20 "a bruised reed he will not break" as I often felt like that. Acts Ch2 21 "And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved". Verse 20 gives the time when this applies "before the coming of the "Day of the Lord" which prophetically seems to be seven years after the agreement that enables the Jews to rebuild their temple. Not long now.
1John Ch1 v9 he is faithful to forgive, so I will go along with Job "Though he slay me yet will I trust him"

There is one other possibility that I can think of. After my wife and I were saved everything went well. After a few years we started to have some mild problems, reasonably peaceful, but not intimate.

This is hypothetical, but if she lost the "speaking in tongues" at the time of the incident mentioned above (search for "snatched" in "once_saved" file) with our son starting to speak in tongues, then this would explain the stress and lack of intimacy. I spent some years trying to work out what was wrong, and became very frustrated, and still am, now I can see that if this was so (but dare not ask, it would open a "can of worms" which could be very stressful) then Gods act of stopping the speaking in tongues is the main cause of the problem I have been having, though not his fault. If Gods misinterpretation of my wife's intention wrecked the marriage what hope would I have of fixing something God broke? No wonder I am frustrated.

One test of salvation seems to be 1Corinthians Ch12 v3 "- - - - and no-one can say "Jesus is Lord" except by the Holy Spirit" but I can, and mean it, so I am, or am I not? So now I am confused. This is the only supporting verse I can find so should not read too much into it. Does one get dumped for failing at the impossible task?

Job Ch8 v3-6 also gives me some hope.

Regards in Jesus,

DECEMBER 06.
I want to give a quote of the second paragraph of The CARMEL ALERT OCTOBER 13th 2006. Note particularly the statement of the conflict with satan, and yet for expressing my firm belief in satan's hand in the situation I may have been destroyed. I still can't imagine what I have been accused of, I have only been saying the same as other people, or what the Bible says.

David's Comment: Kaka Zeh b'Yisrael ( Thats How It Is In Israel )

In this week's comment I want to give you a personal glimpse into the reality of living in Israel as a citizen and parent. To be honest, life in Israel often proves to be an extremely challenging adventure. Israel is 'Ground Zero' of the spiritual conflict between YHVH & Satan, so one should not be surprised or shocked to discover that not everything in Israel is plain sailing. To back that statement up, the second most popular word in Israel. after "shalom" is belagan, which means chaos. In this country one has to learn very quickly to take the good with the not so good. Over the 15 years that we have lived in Israel, we have on many occasions, found ourselves in the middle of a belagan situation. Therein lies the ultimate test for disciples of Yeshua living in Israel. How do we behave at these times ? I am sure Heaven is observing all that we do and say, particularly our reactions in adverse or difficult situations - are we responding like Messiah would ?
