North-West of here is Pierri the state Capital.
CAPITOL BLDG
Traveling along on Interstate 90

We are now heading East on Interstate 90
into the wide open spaces. Its a lonely stretch of the road.

You drive for miles & miles without seeing anything but farm land for those from the east that have never be west can`t imagine the vastness of the plain states. Then we come across this Oasis.

A restaurant, gas station, trading post and groceries store. It is located on U.S.16 & I-90 at Chamberlain,South Dakota. You also cross over the Missouri River here.

Pierre was ranked as the 10th best small town in America. Fabulous fishing, world class waterfowl and upland game hunting. A mild climate most years eliminating the need to store your boat. You can fish the Missouri River year-round. Great place to live and do business. We continue travelling east where we will pass these farm houses or I guess they would be called homesteads.

we pass Mitchell.
More wide-open spaces.

We continue on until we reach Sioux Falls
South Dakota's largest city! Sioux Falls is a city of 124,000 progressive citizens, and it boast of great schools, a booming economy, fresh air, clean water, safe neighborhoods, high-quality medical care, excellent transportation services, enthusiastic community spirit, and weather of all seasons.
We are now at the border of South Dakota and Minnisota.I hope you enjoyed your trip.I wish I would of had more pictures but we only made that trip one time and that was at least 10 or 15 years ago.We often said we wish we could squeeze this country together so it wouldn`t be so far to go to see everything. We were lucky we have a daughter living in Maryland so when we went to see her we toured the east and our son lives in Colorado when we visited him we toured the west.
