No one knew if he was going, but Lars Ulrich was indeed at the MTV Video Music Awards. He had 2 jobs for the night. First was a little Napster skit where Lars asks a person about Napster and the persons say they are not stealing the music, they are "sharing" the music. So Lars starts "sharing" everything that belonged to the other person.

Then at the end of the show, Lars was the one who introduced the final performance of the night, Blink 182.
