Phong was just about to turn off his Vid Window link when his mind began to think
clearer. The Daze commands! He had told Dot they didn't exist, but he didn't tell the
COMMAND.COM everything about her system. He looked through his pocket. "I have
them in here somewhere- Ahhh!" He pulled out a scroll of paper and unrolled it. In black
and delicate scrawl, the following was written.
"To be used only in cases of Sprite/Guardian Lust. This command will put the
subject in a trance. The state will not be lifted until the desire of the guardian has been
fulfilled, thus leaving the subject's mind clear and able to process data logically and
efficiently. WARNING: If the desire of the guardian is not full filled with in a week of the
installation of the program causing the Sprite/Guardian Lust, the Subject's systems will
overload, causing an immediate deletion and a system crash. To execute the command,
type: DAZE.ctrlP/Loe;com (the subject's name/names) and hit return. The desired result
will begin to take effect immediately. To keep the results under control, it would be best
to put the Sprite(s) in an area where they can be kept safe and controlled. This may have
after affects, such as drowsiness or a heightened sense of awareness of smells and sounds.
Use with caution."
Phong smiled and looked at the two now dozing Sprites. "Enjoy this gift my
children. I hope that you can put it to good use." He pulled out a keyboard and began to
type. He pulled up the structural programming of Dot and Bob. Then he typed the
commands, sealing the fate of the two.*~*~*~*~*
A soft knock at her door woke Dot from her dream. She cursed under her breath
at her bad luck. "Just when the dream was getting good." She got up and stretched, then
cursed again. Because of the nature of the dream, her cheeks were flushed and her pupils
were dilated. She blinked it off as best she could and opened the door. Her heart sunk in
nervousness. Bob was there, looking at the ground with a bit of shame. "I, uh, couldn't
sleep. I was wondering if we could talk a bit." She shrugged and let him in. He cringed
slightly as he saw her recharger still on. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up-" "It's
fine Bob. So what's up?" She draped herself on the overstuffed blue chair. He sat down
on the desk chair next to her and rubbed his eyes. "I've been thinking a lot recently."
"Oh, what about?" "You, me, us."
Bob's heart accelerated slightly as he saw her ears prick up.
She raised her eyebrow cautiously. "What about us?"
He fidgeted with the chair's cushion. "You know, our partnership and stuff. I just kind
of realized that even though I've known you for three years, I really don't know much
about you."
"Like what?"
"Heck, I don't even know what your favorite color is, who your parental systems were,
what you did before I met you."
She smiled softly and said in a soft voice, "Navy blue."
"Hm?"
"That's my favorite color. Navy blue."
He smiled. "Parental units?" "Gif and Win Matrix.
You?" "Pentium and Corel Austin. They died when I was little."
She gave him a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry-"
"It's not your fault. Favorite food?" "Cheese pizza with a mega-vita shake." He
chuckled. "So like you to drink health crap." She scoffed. "Hey, I only drink it because
it makes my skin smooth. Besides, fighting the User all day isn't as easy on my complexion
as it is on my muscles." He chuckled and reached out mindlessly, stroking her cheek
with his finger. He whispered softly, "I like it. Keep drinking that stuff." She nodded
breathlessly, painfully aware of his closeness. He leaned over and placed his forehead
against hers.
"I have a confession to make Dot."
She whispered softly, "Go ahead."
He put his hand on her cheek. She felt like she would collapse. He whispered, "I
didn't come in here to talk about your favorite color." She felt her breath leave her, but he
continued darkly. "I came here because I need to…" His voice stopped and his eyes
glazed. So did hers. Suddenly, there were no words; nothing else in the world. They
were alone. And all that mattered was what they wanted.
*~*~*~*~*
When Dot awoke, her head was clear. She suddenly felt very keen, able to process
much more efficiently. The first thing she processed was the fact that her thighs hurt
slightly and she was wrapped in someone's embrace. Her stomach growled slightly at its
neglect and she looked at the clock. It was 6 PM? How was that possible? She had gone
to bed at 9 PM. . . her eyes flashed to the date that was on the clock. How the heck had
she slept for two freaking days?! She hadn't been THAT tired.
And then she heard it. Bob. He muttered something into her hair, then wrapped
her tighter in his arms. She gasped and felt color rush to her face. She tried to regain her
breath. "By the User ... if we just did what we did, why can't I rememb..." As she said
those words, the last two night's action came back in Technicolor. She became very pale
as she remembered how they had spent their time. No wonder she was sore, she thought
with a wry grin. She doubted that even the most limber Guardian would be sore after the
last 48 hours. She took a shaky breath and closed her eyes, slinking back down under the
covers and curled against Bob. If she was going to deal with this, she would do it later.
*~*~*~*~*
Phong watched as Dot rubbed her forehead in confusion and frustration. He
smiled. "The Daze is wearing off," he chuckled. "Enjoy the after effects my child." He
looked back down at his readme file.
*~*~*~*~*
Bob's head hurt like nothing else. "Oh User, my head throbs." He put his hand out
to steady himself, but as he did, his hand came in contact with something. Something soft
and warm and something that smelled like a mix between honeysuckle and Lily of the
valley. Oh User. ‘Pleasepleasepleasepleasepleasepleaseplease!’ He opened his eyes
slowly. Dot was lying there, spooned against him. Her hair was spread out on his chest, a
small wave of titanium black on his skin. He tried to remember what had. . . holy crap. He
... and she. . . had. . . woah. That was all he could say. Woah. The perfect little Dot
Matrix could really- (here he blushed and was unable to think of the past night without
doing so.)
Dot muttered something and clung tighter to his waist. He scooted down and held
her, tucking her head under his chin. She whispered in her sleep. "Don't ever leave again."
He smiled and hugged her. "I won't."
And he didn't.
*~*~*~*~*
Enzo burst into his sister's dinner. Cescil looked at him in scorn.
"Wipe your feet young Matrix!" Enzo ignored him and ran to a booth, sliding in easily.
"Hey Cecil, can I get an energy shake over here?" "It's CESCIL!" The waiter sped off to
the kitchen, grumbling about the child.
Matrix came in. Frisket jumped on him and knocked him to the ground, licking his
face. Enzo pulled him off. "Thanks kid." "Sure Matrix." The two Matrix men looked
around. "Hey, have you seen Dot?"
"And Bob?" AndrAIa entered. "Hey AndrAla, you seen Bob and Dot?" She
shook her head. Then she looked around the dinner and grinned. "What is it?"
"Found them." Enzo and Matrix looked where she was pointing. Their jaws
dropped.
Dot and Bob were in a lip lock session, leaning against the back wall. They were
leaning in the shadows so they hadn't been seen. But when they were, it was obvious that
this was serious. Bob's hands were everywhere on her body and Dot's arms were around
his neck, practically trying to crawl into Bob's skin and join his body.
Matrix walked over, his mouth still open. AndrAIa had slipped his gun out of its
normal resting place without his knowing, just in case Matrix tried to protect his sister's
body from Bob. He tapped Dot on the shoulder. She used one foot to reach over and
knock his feet out from under him. He hit the ground. AndrAIa laughed. "I take it she's
busy." Matrix rubbed his head. "I got the idea."
Cescil was in a flutter. "You're scaring the customers away!"
"No they're not!" People were gathering in crowds to watch them kiss.
A voice from the doorway cheered. "Aw look at 'em suga. Dey're so cute!" Mouse
leaned against Ray Tracer.
"That they are honey. Hey Matrix! How long before they come up for air?" Matrix
chuckled and shrugged.
A booming voice came from the sky, finally causing the two to break away.
"WARNING, INCOMING GAME. WARNING, INCOMING GAME."
Bob and Dot broke away. They both looked at the sky in scorn. "Stupid User,"
Dot murmured before the cube dropped on them. Bob had to agree.
