Perfect Pitch (Music and Language)

" My daughter was a micro premature baby with the birth weight of 1200 grams. She was kept in an incubator for three and a half months. When she was discharged from the hospital, her doctors were unsure that she could grow normally. Until three years of age, her mental and physical development was very much delayed.

Thanks to appropriate early education, she acquired perfect pitch by the time she was three years eight months old. Now, she is in fifth grade. She can play many instruments including piano, violin, electronic organ, koto or Japanese harp, and drums. She participates in many music competitions at the prefectural and national level. She has received a great number of prizes.

My daughter does not practice half as much as some of the other children because her right brain is so developed. She can play any piece of music that she has just listened to for the first time. She can master a compulsory piece for a competition in two days.

My daughter is now taken up with composition. She has composed a surprisingly large number of pieces and plays them for us. When I ask how she composes a piece, she says, " The music comes into my head naturally. I just copy it onto paper."

" Sheri was a primary one student in my class. Due to the financial status of her family, she could not afford to buy a piano and could only practice on a keyboard. I used the Shichida Pitch Mastery method on Sheri. One day she expressed her desire to participate in a piano competition. My reaction, initially, was one of worry as the keyboard's keys are lighter and very different from a piano's. Sheri did not own a piano at home. The only contact she had with a piano was once a week when she attended the lesson. Thus it was not easy for her to get a ranking in the competition. In order to help Sheri overcome the situation, I used 15 minutes of her weekly lesson to practice Imaging Method." Two months later, Sheri received a special prize for the primary one group. The judges' comments were "Very accurate and powerful playing." This was the first time I saw someone being awarded a prize by just practising on the keyboard."

" She is very good with language skills. She is able to construct beautiful sentences in perfect tenses."
Parent of N.S. Zainudin (3 years)

" Her language and vocabulary has improved a lot. She amazes us when sometimes she says something that we have not taught her."
Parent of Shermaine L. (3 years)
