Chrono Trigger Walkthrough, Part 1




Welcome!



Welcome to part 1 of the Chrono Trigger walkthrough. This part covers the events from the beginning to when you emerge from the Time Gate from 65,000,000 B.C. into the End of Time after defeating Azala, King of the Reptites.


Walkthrough



Location: Crono's House

Time period: 1000 A.D.

Party: Crono

Items: 200 GP

It's early morning and you can hear Leene's Bell ringing in the distance. Crono's mom comes to wake him up. Get up and go downstairs. Talk to Crono's mom a couple times, and she will give you your allowance (200 GP). Now leave and head north to Leene Square, where the Milllennial Fair is taking place.
Shops: None

Location: Leene Square (Millennial Fair)

Time period: 1000 A.D.

Party: Crono, Marle

Items: None

This is Leene Square, where the Millennial Fair is taking place. Here, there are a lot of things to do. Here is a list of the games you can play:

Race
You can bet on the race here. If the runner you bet on wins, you receive 20 Silver Points. There is an old man nearby who will give you tips on the race.

Soda Guzzling Contest
Here you can race to try and guzzle 8 sodas in the short amount of time you have. This is extremely hard if you don't have a turbo controller. If you manage to guzzle 8 sodas, you will receive 5 Silver Points.

Gato
Gato is Lucca's robot battle trainer. If you beat him, you not only receive 10 experience points, but you also receive 15 Silver Points.

Bell
Test your strength by pressing A at just the right time to make the thing hit the bell. Every time you manage to do so, you receive 1 Silver Point.

Norstein Bekkler's Lab
Here you can bet Silver Points to play games and win prizes.

On the second screen, you will see a girl walking around. Bump into her, then talk to her. Go pick up her pendant and give it back to her. She tells you that her name is Marle. She decides to tag along with you. Then talk to everyone until you find a girl who has lost her cat. On the other side of the screen, you'll find her cat. Get it to follow you back to the girl. Also, make sure to leave the pink sack on the table alone. Then talk to Melchior, the swordsmith, but tell him that you won't try to talk Marle into selling him her pendant. Talk to everyone, and someone will mention that Lucca's invention is ready. Head to the stairs that were previously blocked up ahead. Marle will stop you to buy some candy. Don't move while she's looking at the candy until she asks for one. Then head up and talk to where Lucca's invention is. Crono will try her teleporter. It works, and Marle decides she wants to try it. She steps onto the platform and is transported into a strange blue gate. Her pendant is left behind. Lucca mentions that it might have been the pendant that messed up the teleporter. Go and pick up the pendant and step onto the platform. Lucca and her father, Taban, will transport you into the same strange blue gate. You travel back in time and end up in some unknown place.
Shops: Weapon Shop, Armor Shop, Item Shop.
Weapon Shop items and prices: Iron Blade 350 GP, Lode Sword 4000 GP.
Armor Shop items and prices: Karate Gi 300 GP, Bronze Helmet 200 GP.
Item Shop items and prices: Tonic 10 GP, Heal 10 GP, Revive 200 GP, Shelter 150 GP

Location: Truce Canyon

Time period: 600 A.D.

Party: Crono

Items: Power Glove, Tonic

Crono reappears in a forest. He is attacked by several Blue Imps. Afterwards, head to the left and off screen. On the next screen, fight the enemies and grab the treasure boxes. Then head south and out of Truce Canyon.
