Chrono Trigger Endings

Welcome to the Chrono Trigger endings section. Here you'll find most of the endings plus how to get them.
NOTE-To get 9 of these 10 endings, you have to beat the game and start a new game using the New Game+ option.
Endings
Ending 1
To obtain: Defeat Lavos after you return from 600 A.D. but before Crono gets thrown in jail.
Ending: Everyone in the world turns into frogs, and Marle has a date with Frog.
Ending 2
To obtain: Defeat Lavos inside the Ocean Palace in 12000 B.C. or by entering the Lavos Gate after you explore and complete Heckran's Cave.
Ending: You watch a Nu play with a frog while the credits roll.
Ending 3
To obtain: Defeat Lavos by entering the Lavos Gate after you defeat Zombor at Zenan Bridge and before you receive the Hero's Medal from Tata.
Ending: Peace has been restored to the future, but a new villain appears in the Middle Ages. Tata, the legendary warrior of his era, has been called upon to defeat Crono.
Ending 4
To obtain: Defeat Lavos by entering the Lavos Gate after you get the Hero's Medal from Tata. You won't see this ending if you've already traveled back to 65,000,000 B.C.
Ending: The goings-on between Magus and his fellow monsters before they meet up from Crono is revealed.
Ending 5
To obtain: Defeat Lavos by entering the Lavos Gate after you return from 65,000,000 B.C. You cannot view this ending if you gave the Masamune Sword back back to Frog.
Ending: Check out all the characters in the game, including the ones you didn't meet as they appear between the programming credits.
Ending 6
To obtain: Defeat Lavos by entering the Lavos Gate after you give the Masamune Sword back to frog but before you fight Magus in A.D. 600.
Ending: Frog attempts to defeat Magus on his own.
Ending 7
To obtain: Defeat Lavos by entering the Lavos Gate after you have Ayla back in your party.
Ending: The game returns the where you started, but everyone is a Reptite.
Ending 8
To obtain: Defeat Lavos by entering the Lavos Gate in Leene Square after defeating Magus. You must defeat him before Schala opens the seal.
Ending: Magus confronts Lavos in a final battle during the Middle Ages. Magus knows that this is the only way to save Schala from an untimely demise.
Ending 9
To obtain: Defeat Lavos by entering the Lavos Gate in Leene Square after defeating Magus and just after Schala opens the magic seal in the Ocean Palace.
Ending: Lucca and Marle conduct a critical evaluation of the male characters in the game.
Ending 10
To obtain: Beat Lavos by entering the Lavos Gate in the beginning of the game on the "New Game+" file. This is one of the most difficult endings.
Ending: You'll catch some behind-the-scenes humor from Square's development department if you manage to achieve it.
