Future Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma and is half saiyjin and half human. In his future, Androids 17 and 18 terrorize the Earth. Future Trunks tries to take them on but gets beat severly. Gohan finds him, helps him back to health, and trained him. Although, Trunks got extremely stronger, he wasn't able to reach SSJ like Gohan had. When it came down to fighting the androids again, Gohan knocked out Trunks because he knew that he wasn't ready. So as Trunks laied unconcious, Gohan took on both of the androids. In the fight, Gohan lost an arm, but was able to escape. Gohan and Trunks continued their training, even though Gohan had lost an arm. When they faced the Androids again, Trunks was knocked out again. When he woke up, he found Gohan dead. But he didn't have enough strength to make it back, so he fell unconcious again. When he woke up, Bulma was next to him. She wanted him to go back in time, thanks to a time machine that she made, and give Goku special heart medicine that he would need while fighting Perfect Cell. During that fight, Goku has a heart attack and dies because he doesn't get the medicine in time. Because he was the only one that could defeat him, everyone else except Gohan, Bulma, and baby Trunks died. When Trunks went back, he defeated the newly made Freeza and gave the medicine to Goku and warned him what would happen. Future Trunks stayed in that time for a while, but then he returned to his time. After returning to his time, he turned into SSJ and easily defeated the 2 Androids.
