"Hollywood A.D." Info and Pics
From Everyone:
Written and Directed by David Duchovny.
From The Underground:
Skinner is heavily involved in this episode. "There is a funny scene involving or referring to the question about a romance developing between Skinner and Scully."
Comedian Garry Shandling plays Mulder and Duchovny's real-life wife Leoni plays Scully in a documentary about the X-files being made in Hollywood within the episode, and Mulder oversees the production (do the actors play themselves or other actors in the episode??): "I'm doing an X-Files episode in which I get to make out with Téa Leoni, David Duchovny's wife--I think you see my ploy," says Shandling, who claims that work usually interferes with his romantic life. "I'm doing that in the middle of March, in which I play the Mulder character in an X-Files film version, and David comes to see if it's being depicted accurately. I play him, and Téa Leoni plays Scully, and I make out with her. They're all good friends of mine."
"Je Souhaite" - Pics and Spoilers
Apparantly Mulder's first wish is for "world peace" and though we're not sure what his third wish is, there is slated to be a scene where Mulder and Scully discuss Mulder's wish at Mulder's apartment....interesting. It follows on the old fairy tale of the genie and the three wishes.

THE X-FILES FIGHTS THE FUTURE!! PLANS FOR THE SERIES RETURNING NEXT SEASON!!! With the abrupt ending Fox handed Chris Carter's latest series for television the creator of The X-Files needs something big in the way of a project to keep Ten Thirteen Productions rolling at the network. An eight season of The X-Files would fit the bill. As I've been reporting for you for months now, Fox Executives have been leaking word into Ten Thirteen that they want X-Files in their line up next season. And that means in one capacity or another, even one without the current leads. ( Of course there HAVE been dessenting voices at Fox as well. These being over the declining ratinsg and ever mounting expense of the show). Now word comes in no uncertain terms that this desire may very well come to pass. Fox Television Entertainment Group chairman Sandy Grushow has just said to The Hollywood Reporter, "I believe that Chris in his heart wants to come back, but there's all kinds of posturing going on." Carter is trying to cut a sweeter deal obviously. And he's in a good position to do that as Fox has been cut to the knees in the ratings war this year. Even a low rating X-Files is better than not one at all. Grushow said to TV Guide, "We would love to have The X-Files back and we're currently in discussions with Mr. Duchovny's representatives and Chris Carter. Our agenda is to get the show back with him in it, but the decision to continue the show (without Duchovny on the series ) rests with Chris Carter." So the possibility of a series without Duchovny is starting to present itself as a full realized concept. And one that could end up on paper within this very month. Grushow told The USA Today," There's a fifty fifty chance that The X-Files will be back". Not long ago it was being said that there was zero chance. Something is happening, that's for sure. On the other hand Carter may have other ideas. There's buzz out there (CREDIBLE BUZZ...unlike the Anderson Lambs sequel rumors) that the creator of The X-Files has a spin off series in mind. More than just that, the whispering is that he Frank Spotnitz, Vince Gilligan and John Shiban are thinking through the particulars of a Lonegunmen series! This franchise would play out after the fashion of the pair of existing X-Files installments that they showcased. These by the way will be followed up by two more such episodes this season with very reasonable possibility of a third in mind. The number of these episodes being planned on for this season very well does suggest a "testing of the waters" with these three characters to see how well they hold up with audiences. The three characters were created by X-Files alums Morgan and Wong who have since left the production company Carter runs. The possibilities of such a series being trapped in a legal sargasso sea are very real. Even if Ten Thirteen tries to move with this series it might not be realistic to try. In either event, talks very important to the future of this franchise are expected to reach some conclusion this month.
Entertainment Weekly:
EW has a special issue that recently came out with a fall preview for all the shows. This is what I got for the X-Files: "'I am totally involved this season,' says creator Chris Carter. 'I'm slated to write 10 episodes, including the season finale, which we're looking at as the end of the series.' Will they go out with
