Tharkad has long been the Lyran capital world. The original colonists imported pine forests, caribou, deer, and wolves.

Economy
Tharkad has large mining and refining operations set up. It is also a magnet for tourists and winter sports.
Geography
This is a rocky world. There are lots of mountains.

Climate
Tharkad is a cold planet with harsh winters. The arctic zone extends down to the thirtieth parallel.

Landmarks
The Lyran Royal Court and the Estate General are both located here.
*the Estate General is the Lyran version of Parliament.
