Location relative to Terra: X=13.04 Y=15.39 One jump systems: Altair, Asta, Athenry, Bryant, Caph, Dyev, Formhalhaut, Imbros III, Keid, New Earth, New Home, Nirasaki, Northwind, Pike IV, Rigil Kentaraus, Saffel, Sirius, Styx, Terra, and Yorii. Dieron is in the Draconis Combine, extremely close to Terra.
History
Up until somewhere between 2750 and 3025, Dieron belonged to the Terran Hegemony. It was a major electronics center and a large administrative center for the army. After the fall of the Star League, the Draconis Combine seized the planet, only to discover it had been stripped of anything useful. After Stefan Amaris' coupe, it had been left in bad shape.
Economy
This planet has a class "A" comstar facility. Dieron holds the Terada jupship factory(ies). They manufacture the Inazuma, Tatsumaki, and Kyushu combat jumpships. Along with interplanetary drives, K-F drives, and Lithium-Fusion batteries for these three jumpship designs. There are 5,284,000,000 people on Dieron (according to the year 3025). The people of Dieron have an obsession with the Star League. Minoru Kurita made Dieron a military district capital.
Geography
Dieron is full of large mountain ranges, making it a cramped planet. The valleys provide the little space available on the planet. Earthquakes are common.
Martial Information
The small and cramped cities are a cause for many budding political rebellions, but are quickly squashed by ths ISF. Often through means of rumors about Star League Caches in the mountains.
