History
The first settlement on Defiance was Jerseyville, named after it's founder, Malcom Jersey. Prospectors were the first settlers to come to Defiance. Eventually, the hundreds of independent mines were aquired by larger corporations. Solar Metals Limited owned much of the planet until they sold there holdings on Defiance to the Davion Family in 2748.

Economy
Defiance's mining possibilities are endless, the high volcanic activity in it's early life brought many rare minerals to the surface. The volcanic activity makes the soil extremely fertile but the sulfuric atmosphere gives these flourishing plants a bitter and unsatisfactory taste.

Geography
Defiance has vast mineral resources because of the volcanic activity on this relatively new planet. Their is a large mountain chain called The Devils Backbone that is made of mostly extinct volcanoes. The largest urban area is Jerseyville, a large collection of small houses, shops, and office buildings located in the Devil's Backbone. East of the Devil's Backbone are a large stretch of flatlands before you make it to the Pearce Sea

Atmosphere
The atmosphere of Defiance is sulphuric. Resperators must be worn outdoors.

Martial Information Defiance is often used by the AFFS for training, so there are plenty of military facilities and units are always switching in and out of the planet.
