Economy
Mining is the biggest economic benfefit on Altair, with five iron ore and one titanium ore deposit being mined at this time (according to 3025). The second biggest corporation on Altair is the Long Life Company. It's headqaurters are located in the city of Bonanza. It uses "Altairian Medicinal Water" to grow herbs for tea. They also manufacture more conventional medicines. The Kurita Combine Munitions Corporation is located on Altair, and manufactures the F-500 Reaver Aerospace fighter, along with the Chimeisho Jumpship. It also manufactures the Interstar Heavy frame, PhilterMesh Armor, Neil 4000 communications system, and Chicester ASR 26 Targeting/Tracking system, all used in the Reiver. The also make K-F drives and Lithium Fusion Batteries for their Chimeisho Jumpships.

Geography
Altair is a big planet. it has underground rivers that provide the few arable regions. The three billion+ population of Altair is huddled around these green regions.

Climate
Altair's sun is very unstable. The constant solar storms and flares disrupt communications for large periods of time. Altair is perpetually dry.
