The predator is a lethal killing machine that bestows itself as a hunter with great pride. Using its strength and ability to bend light making itself almost invisible makes the pred an awesome foe for either the alien or the marine. Also armed with some rather interesting weapons at the preds disposal anyone who can handle this species well will have no trouble killing enemies with the speargun or wristblades. The pred is the strongest character in AvP and i reconmend for anyone new to the game should start off using the pred so you can get used to the games feel. Weapons and their uses are listed below.

Wrist Blades..The wrist blades are an impressive weapon. Using them takes skill and some risk as you have to get extremely close to your oppenent which can be dangerous in itself. The wrist blades are a good addition to the preds arsenal.

Spear Gun..The speargun is a new predator weapon to me. Even though in Predator 2 the pred does fire a spear like projectile but i didn't see if it was actually from the spear. But in AvP it is a great weapon that takes some skill to use. Head shots denote instant death for those hit by the spear gun and usually a decapitation to follow. It is limited to 30 spears (correct me if i am wrong on that #) which in multiplayer games is not enough since you can't pick up a reload for it.

Shoulder Cannon..This is one COOL weapon. It has the ability to set its charge level, the greater the charge the stronger the blast. To keep the charge use the right mouse button to charge it up and release it, then when your ready to shot just tap the left mouse button once. Its alot better to use it that way in my opinion. Although the speed of the plasma ball it fires is slow it is still a powerful weapon. Like the wrist blades you can use this weapon while your cloaked, which is a plus.

Pistol..The pistol is a GREAT weapon against aliens. It fires an electrically charged ball in an arc towards your foes. This weapon is very useful when playing against aliens as they seem to be affected greatly by its blast. It also works well against synthetics. The only thing about this weapon is that it fires in an arc, which can be a pain to get used to, and is sometimes hard to judge the distance in order to hit your foe with a blast that will do a large amount of damage.

Disc..The disc....well this is a great weapon for someone who can't play as the pred worth a damn. The disc is as it is in the movie, extremely deadly. Its another one hit wonder and it tracks too so you can't get away from it unless you can somehow get around a corner before it gets you which is unlikely. I hate this weapon in multiplayer games because a newbie will use it constantly and you have no chance against it. Now in the coop mode it sometimes proves to be of a help after you run out of spears and your charge is low.

MediComp..This is the preds medical kit. Use this when your low on life and it will charge you right up. But it takes alot of your charge to use it so it can have its downsides in a heated battle.
