Tank Push

The basic concept of war, slowly taking away territory, from your enemy as you encroah upon his base. Now since tanks dominate the land, they can easily wipe out anything, as long as they are in siege mode. Now everyone knows that they can't move while in siege mode, making them vulnerable when moving, and when in the process of siege and unsiege. Also tanks can't attack air, making battle cruisers, guardians, and corsairs a problem. You want a good amount of tanks, so that you can leave some in siege while you unsiege your tanks. A good number early in the game is about 6. So try to unsiege 1/3 of your tanks at a time and move them up next to any defense you have. You must bring along SCVs, and support units to keep air units away. This takes a lot of concetration, but its a sure win as long as you can take minimal losses. Using bunkers to establish a good defense up ahead, will allow you to move your tanks closer to your enemy.

Now you don't want to creep up by inches, but you also don't want to lose your whole army by spreading them out too thin. Having a scout up ahead or using comstats will make sure the coast is clear. You also want to build in the range of your tanks, since you can use them to cover your SCV who's contructing bunkers and turrets. Now basically move your marines and goliaths to the new bunker, and un-siege a few tanks and move them up as well. After the tanks who moved up sieged, un-siege the back row, and move them up as well. Just leap frog to the enemy's base. Now you can execute this a number of ways with the terrans. Firebats and tanks early in the game, will make it very easy, especially against a Zerg player who wants to build lurkers, or a Protoss player who wants dark templars. You will need to build a turrets to counter possible air, but use them mainly as detectors.

Also SCVs and bunkers are always a must. Another combination is goliaths, marines, and tanks. This is to make sure that late game units won't break up your tank push, as guardians, battle cruisers, carriers, etc. Any heavy air unit, will kill all your marines easily, and turrets most likely as well. If you have a science vessel then use it, so you don't need to build turrets. This also helps, since you can irradiate your tanks to kill off zealots and zerglings. Defensive matrix is also a great spell, since your tank gets a boost of 250 HP. However don't get careless with the science vessel since it will be a target high on your opponents kill list. Spider mines can also set up a tank push. Just mine the area using 4-7 vultures, and get a good spread. Now build a bunker first behinf the mines. This will ensure an anchor on which to launch your attacks from. Now just proceed with your push, using more bunkers, comstats, and possibly mines.

Using wraiths isn't really a good idea, especially since most units that can take a tank out fast can also take a wraith out even faster. Usually, hydralisks, dragoons, and other tanks are your main threat. To counter another Terran's tanks, just siege at least twice the number of tanks than your opponent and use a comstat to get the first attack. You should be able to take a few tanks out instantly. Though this may be hard to do, if he builds a mirror of your build order, so just try to contain him. Surround his base, with turrets and more tanks, making it impossible to expand, as you build up.
