Pokémon is an R.P.G. were you walk, bike, or fly (on a pokémon) in search of other pokémon. Your goal is to collect 150 pokémon, beat eight gym leaders, the best pokémon trainers known as the elite four, and your rival several times.

When you first start out Professor Oak will give you a pokemon either a Squirtle (a water pokémon), a Charmander (fire), or a Bulbasaur (grass/poison) I recomend a Bulbasaur or a Charmander. After you get your pokemon your rival will challenge you to a battle, in a trainer battle you can't run away. If you lose you lose half of your money but if you win you get some money. Afterwards you need to go to Virdian City to the north go to the pokémart and pick up Oaks Parcel and deliver it to him. You will get a pokédex; a pokédex is an electronic pokémon encylopieda. After you get the pokédex go back to Virdan City and buy several pokéballs. After you buy pokéballs go to the west of Virdian City and you can catch some Nidoran but be careful your rival he has a an level eight pidgey and an level 10 what ever he picked. Afterwards head north to Peweter City and Viridian forest. In the forest you can catch Pikachu, Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, and Kukana. Once at Pewter you can go to the Musuem or challeng Brock (the first gym leader). Brock has a level 12 geodude (rock/ground) and a level 14 Onix (rock/ground). Nothing to a bulbasaur or a squritle.

After you beet Brock you can head east to Mt. Moon here you will find tons of trainers, and you will have to battle most of them. Next to the entrance to Mt. Moon their will be another pokécenter. After you get through Mt. Moon you will be just west of Cerulean city. In Cerulean City ypu have to fight Misty. She has a level 18 staru(water/psychic) and a level 21 starmie (water/pyschic). When you beat Misty head north to the bridge. Your rival will be waiting he'll have his starting pokémon, a level 18 Pidgeotto, a level 15 Abra, and one other pokémon. To Cross the bridge you will have to Take on five trainers after you defeate them the Team Rocket member will give you a nugget (thus the name Nugget Bridge) the he to will challenge you. As you make your way to bill's house you will encounter several differents types of pokémon trainers such as hikers and jr. trainers. When you arrive at bills house he will ask you to help turn him back into a human afterwards he will give you an S.S. Ticket. Then you will need to head back to Ceurlean got to the house were the police officer is standing next to the door go through the house and in the backyard there will be a Team Rocket Member After you defeat him he'll give you the TM 28 (dig). Begin to make your way down the path south to Vermilion city There will be a toll booth the guard wont let you through. Go to the house next door go down the stairs folow the path eventuly you will come out via some stairs just keep heading south.

Once you arrive in Vermilion City you can det a bike voucher for listing to the the leader of the pokémon fanclub. you can recive an old rod from the fishing Guru. Also you can go on the S.S. Anne. Once the S.S. Anne you can fight tons of trainers You'll fight you rival another time then go to the captins cabin (just north of where you fought your rival befor you talk to him fight a trainers you want becuause once you recive cut and get off you will not be able to get back on the S.S. Anne. You go go through diglett's cave to the east and pick up HM 5 (Flash) though be sure to catch a level 19 or above diglett or better yet a dugtrio. For Gym Leader number three Lt. Surge to get to him you have to cut down the bush in front of the Gym then you will have to look in the trash cans when you find the first switch the seconned switch will be next to it. Lt. Surge most difficult Pokémon is Voltorb level 21 (electric) use your ground pokemon on Raichu level 24(electric) and Pikachu level 18(electric).

Then you'll need to heed east to Rock tunnel be sure you picked up flash (HM 5). Once inside rock tunnel Use Flash and it will simular to To MT. Moon just shorter. After you exit there will be several trainers but their very easy to avoid. You will be in Lavender Town. You dont have a lot to do untill you get a silph scope. so begin to head west to the under ground route via the little buliding next to the gate house and you should come out just east of Celadon city. The next Gym Leader is Erika Her Pokemon are Victreebell (level 29), Tangela (Level 24), and Vileplume (level 29). Befor you take her on you may want to nab a Vulpix (Blue) or Growlithe (Red) and you may want to get an Eevee From the back of Pokemon Mansion and evolving it with a Fire Stone. Any fire or Flying Pokemon should do just fine. Afterwards head to the cafe and talk to the guy in the back he will give you a coin case. Now head over to Rocket Game Corner Talk to the people to recive free coins for the slot machines. Talk to the guy in front of the poster after defeating him press a in front of the poster a secret will open just to the right. you'll have to head down to the two levels and then you wil need to navigate the maze and go down the steps and the end After wandering around you'll find a rocket after defeating him he'll drop the lift key head up to the floor just below the Slot Machines defeat the rocket just to the right then the one below him. go on the elevator go to level four defeat the two Rocket Memberes and challenge Giovanni he was ground and rock pokemon level 24 to 29.
