Tiramisu

¼ cup sugar
½ cup black coffee
6 tbs. Marsala or sweet sherry
16 ladyfingers
3 eggs, separated into yolks and whites
pinch nutmeg
1 cup marscarpone cheese

Spoon half the sugar into the coffee and stir. Add the Marsala or sherry. Arrange half the ladyfinders in the base of an 8" pan and drizzle on half the above mixture. Beat egg yolks and nutmeg with remaining sugar until mixture has thickened, then stir in the marscarpone. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold the marscarpone mixture into the egg whites, then spoon half over the Ladyfingers, and smooth the top with a spatula. Dip the remaining ladyfingers in the remaining coffee and marsala mixture and arrange in the dish. Top with remaining marscarpone mixture and smooth the top. Let chill. Sprinkle with chocolate or nutmeg powder and confectioners sugar.
