The Paris Express, dated 17 Jan 1946, "T-4, Emil Seifert, who served with the Signal Corps, received his discharge Monday at Camp Chaffee and returned to his parents home, Mr. & Mrs. E. L. Seifert, for a three months visit, after which he will return to San Jose, California, where he was employed prior to entering the service 33 months ago. Seifert served 20 months in the Pacific and wears two battle stars for engagements in the Philippines January 9, 1945, the day Luzon was liberated and took part in this campaign. He also wears the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, the Philippines Liberation Ribbon & three overseas bars".


The Paris Express, dated 25 Feb 1952, Monday, "Paula Faye Phillips, one year and eight months of age died Sunday, Feb 24. Parents: Mr. & Mrs. Fred Phillips. Brothers: Jimmy Ray and Danny Lee Phillips. Sister: Brenda Lyndell Phillips. Grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Joe Lewis and Mrs. Thelma Phillips, Paris. Burial at Paint Rock Cemetery on Feb. 25th".


The Paris Express, dated 6 Oct 1952, “Mrs. (Faye) Clarence Ross, was fatally injured in a car wreck near Sapulpa late Sun. night. Mr. Ross was also injured and is hospitalized in Tulsa. They lived in Sapulpa, OK. Mrs. Thelma Phillips & son, Bobby left for Tulsa Monday a.m. Survivors: husband, two daughters, mother three brothers; Junior & Lanthrus Phillips, both of Paris, & Bobby Phillips, a student at the College of Ozarks, Clarksville. Sisters; Mrs. Margie Seifert & Miss Wanda Phillips, both of Oklahoma. The body was sent to Mena Tuesday, the funeral will be held at Wickes”.
