Photographic delirium #7: Danish hallucination

When I met Ms. Matsuda, she was happy about appearing in my home page. She said that she conscientiously read the English with her Japanese dictionary. Anyway, she seemed disappointed to find out that I did not write a lot about her. Sorry!

In the last session, which was on a cold autumn day in a park full of brightly colored trees, I was concentrating mostly on the facial expression of the model, almost forgetting where we were. My close-up pictures were good but lacking some ambience from the environment. Therefore, this time I would be more careful with the background. The shooting location is the "Denpark", an attraction park with the theme of Denmark in Anjyo (a nearby city from Kariya). It is a good idea for Japanese to create parks that recreate the originality of a country. There are many such parks for countries like Canada, Netherlands, etc.

Are you really Ms. Matsuda?

Ms Matsuda has a completely different hairstyle than last time. Her hair has been cut and dyed into orange. She looks like a totally changed girl although she cannot play with her shorter hair like she did before...

In the morning, in the green bushes

The picture to the right was taken nearby a bridge that passes over a small pond. It was the best location for taking superb pictures. The greenish pond in the background is contrasting well with the subject's clothes. This same vivid green was used in the left picture's setting. The field depth is also well adjusted with the focus on the hands. In both cases, the model is not particularly looking at the camera, which I think gives a more natural feeling to the picture. Finally, I believe that the model's attitude harmonizes well with the background.

Resting on the wall

The most difficult location for taking pictures was at the replica of a Denmark village that was inside a big transparent dome. For that reason, even if it seemed outside, the light was filtered through glass and gave a shading unusual effect. The picture on the right shows that soft illusion. However, other pictures were straight bizarre because the background was too dark compared with the model who was splashed sometimes by the huge light reflector.

By the green pond

This Danish experience was interesting. However, as a foreigner, it is ironic to take pictures of a Japanese girl with orange hair in a background simulating Denmark!?
