    M.Tech Thesis

"Development of Reverse Engineering Methodology for Engineering and Footwear Components."

A methodology was developed to Reverse Engineer the components using various hardware (e.g.FARO

arm and software (e.g. SURFACER and AnthroCAM) tools available. The technique includes Data Capture,
Segmentation of captured data and Surface fitting to generate the CAD model. The work includes execution
        of various industrial projects successfully.

Worked as Project Research Associate under Prof. S. G. DHANDE in IDCM Technology Development
Mission at CAD-Project lab IIT Kanpur simultaneously with M.Tech.

    Projects Undertaken

    1. Reverse Engineered certain critical components for Aeronautical Development Agency, Bangalore.
    2. Designed and Fabricated the Dies for Footwear Products for local tanneries.
    3. Part to CAD Model Inspection for Pelton Wheel for BHEL, Bhopal.
    4. Reverse Engineering of various other industrial components for different Industrial houses.
    5. Solid Modelling of Pump Casing. This was carried out as a part of the Project Research Assistantship in the CAD-P Lab for M/s. Kirloskar Brothers Ltd., Pune.
    6. Generated and implemented few Software Codes, for example Boolean Operations in two-dimensional polygons.
