Day Camp 2004 was a lot of fun. The theme was “Take a Walk on the Wild Side” and we used safari ideas. The kids had a ball, even though it rained almost every day. They still soaked each other with their water guns and stood in the blast from the fire truck hoses.

Of course, the “family” was glad to be back together again. Overheard during the week, was someone saying, “The staff doesn’t come here for a vacation, at least, not the overnight staff. They know it’s a lot of hard work. Wonder why we do it?” And the response: “We come to be with the family. That’s all we are.”

And if you’ve been following my scouting pages, you would have seen pictures of my boyfriend. Yeah… I’ve been saying for a while now that I would marry a Boy Scout. Well, now it’s going to happen. We got together at this year’s day camp, and we’re getting married the day before next year’s day camp.

So I guess that’ll do for now. I will find time to get some more pics up, at a later date. Ciao.
