Tales and Poems

"In the early 1960's, a botanist camping in Wales swore to a local farmer that he had seen "hordes of tiny people" playing at the spot he was hunting for plants. When he showd the farmer the spot on the map, the farmer translated the Welsh name- "Fairies Bog"
"in 1910, on the island of Muck off the Scottish coast, two boys, ages ten and seven, encountered two tiny boys dressed in green and a woman in a tiny boat who gave them a loaf of fairy bread and even conversed with them." - From FAERIES: Real Encounters With The Little People, by: Janet Bord. The Explain this list- a list of hard to explain events.

1. I was in my room one night and I had the arts section of the newspaper there for me to read. i heard a ripping, and it had a small slash in it, and I did not do it. Later on I went for a bowl of cereal and the bag of cereal had the same exact rip. When I was in my room the bowl flew off my table and spilt everywhere.

2. When I casted a circle to contact some nature spirits, the wind picked up all around me, and an echo went from tree to tree of an odd sound.

3. I began leaving milk out for house brownies, a type of faerie that will help with the chores if left a treat. The next mornin, the laundry was folded and the can opener was fixed. Also, a bag of bread that had been left open cos the seal was broken had been tied shut with some white thread.

4. I wanted a friend, and while I wad dabbling in Wicca, cos I thought I wanted to be Wiccan at the time, I did a spell to gain a friend. I was all alone at the time. I did a candle magick rite, and 2 weeks later, I found 2 good friends.

5. My brother and I made a ring of acorns each week in this spot of dirt by the bushes, and left ground ginger for the faeries in an acorn hat. We did it weekly, and a plant began to grow where the ring was.
