get 'N Sync with 'N Sync

They have been compared to the Backstreet Boys, they even have the same management as the BSB. But these guys are 'N Sync, not the BSB. Their single "I Want You Back" is firing up the charts in Canada and the States. They have also had huge success in the Europe. Now you wanna find out how these five hotties from five different cities ended up together? Well read on and you'll find out.

'N Sync consist of JC Chasez(from Washington age: 21), Justin Timberlake(from Memphis, Tennessee age: 17), Lance "Lansten" Bass(from Mississippi age:18), Chris Kirkpatrick(from Pennsylvania age: 26), and Joey Fantone (from New York age: 21). Somehow they all ended up in the same city Orlando, Florida. The boys say it's fate. JC was heading to Orlando to join the cast of the Mickey Mouse Club(MMC). A friend of JC's introduced JC to Joey, and they became instant friends. Then two years later MMC had 7 new members join the cast. One of those members was Justin. JC and Justin ended up in a lot of musical acts together, and they thought that they sounded really good together.

While Joey was going to school he landed a job at Universal Studios, were he met Chris. After 2 years MMC stopped making shows. Then Justin and JC worked with the same vocal coach and writers in Nashville, Tennessee. Then soon after Justin was called back to Orlando to audition for a group back, but that group didn't work out. Justin met Chris through that group, and became friends. While in Orlando Justin, Chris and JC went out for a night on the town, and guess who they ran into; JC and Chris' old friend Joey. They introduced him to Justin, and they clicked instantly. At a dance club, they all were so good on the floor everyone wanted to know what group they belonged to. Soon after they got together and they started harmonizing, but the only thing missing was a good bass voice. They looked around at local high schools, and college chorus for that perfect member. Then Justin decided to give a shout to his old vocal coach. The coach only knew one person like that Lance. He was sixteen at the time, and was living in Mississippi. Soon after they got a hold of Lance, and asked him to come down for an audition. He flew down a couple days later. When Lance went to sing they knew he was the perfect members they were looking for. They came up with the name 'N Sync from the last letters from their first names: JustiN, ChriS JoeY LansteN and JC. The self title debut album is due out in Canada on March 24.

Official Story: If Five is from the United Kingdom, 'N Sync is from the Magic Kingdom. Timberlake and Chasez met on the set of The Mickey Mouse Club and inspired by cy crowd reations to their dance moves recruited th others.

Distinguishing Characteristic: Two blonde heart-throbs, instead of the traditional one.

Everything but the "KITCH ‘N SYNC!"

1. ‘N Sync are Justin Randall Timberlake (17) , Chris Alan Kirkpatrick (26) , Joey Anthony Fatone Jr. (21) , James Lance Bass (‘known as ‘Lanceten’, 18) and Joshua Scott Chasez (called ‘JC’ - he’s also 21).
2. They’re from Orlando in Florida (like th Backstreet boys, with whom they share the same management). "The Backstreet boys are great", says JC. "We’re pretty good friends with those guys."
3. We’re pretty much all from the same background - entertainment,” claims Joey.
”Justin and JC were on a TV show called Mickey Mouse Club, me and Chris worked at Universal Studios and Lance toured America with his choir.
4. Chris got the band together after meeting them on the showbiz circult.
”It was quite complicated,he frowns. You’d need a map to show exactly how we came together.
5. We’re called ‘N sync because we’re in sync, says Lance, reasonably enough.
”We’re always synchronised and together with our dancing and hamonies.”
6. The band are all, luckily, bezzy mates. ”We’re five best friends and we act like that,” Joey breezes. ”Some of us live together - we eat, breath, work and do everything together.”
7. ”Sometimes we get on each other’s nerves, though, ” says Justin, the ickle curly-haired baby of the band. ”We argue about hairstyles, clothing, who gets to talk to a girl first.......Joey always wins that one. He’s definitely the flirt of the band.”
8. Our records are about life, love and partying,” claims Chris.
”And sailing and backgammon,” adds Lance, the japester.
9. ”We just want to be successful all over the world,” they shout.
”We really don’t care about other things.”
10. Lance says that if he ruled the world he’d build a skate park: ”then invite Hanson round for a skate party!”
11. Before every concert, all the band have to touch the ‘N sync hacky sack (small bean.bag type thingy!) without it hitting the floor. "If we don’t manage the floor, it’s a bad luck,” quavers a superstitious Joey.
12. They’re managemant by Johnny Wright, he’s also a manager for Solid Harmonie(a girl group who soon will be very hot on the planet pop) and the Backstreet boys(who doesn’t know them?!).
13. ‘N SYNC did their first single in Sweden and they love the country.
They have a few fans here but the magazines doesn’t like them. They’re saying that they are imitating the Bsb and they have the wrong styling........
14. A question that everyone probably wonder when they get in on this site is: What does
‘N SYNC mean?Well, look at the last letters of each names:

But before they figured out the name they took the name because of Justin's mother, after a time they figured out that the last of their letters of their names actually became 'N Sync!
You can also see it like this: "in sync", they’re in sync with each other.
15. Denniz Pop, Kristian Lundin and Max Martin are three Swedish producers and music writers have done "I want you back” and ”Tearin’ up my heart" for ‘N SYNC but they have also done a lots of hits for other groups like 5ive, Bsb, Robyn, Ace of base, Solid HarmoniE, 3T etc. 16. Toni Cottura is another German music maker (he help rap stars like Nana and Papa bear and have been a part of Fun Factory) who made "Best of my life" from 'N Sync's European album. He has also done a new song called "You drive me crazy" for the new album.
17. They’re big in Germany, USA and Canada but they still got the rest of Europe, Africa and Asia to hit! But I'm sure they will!
