Chicago comicon 2005

So it seems someone likes me. By sheer dumb luck I got to go to the Chicago Comicon 2005! I've never EVER been to a Comicon before and this one I only spent 3 hours at, but I've got a ton of pictures so be prepared!

Well first I got there around 3pm I had to find an information booth and ask when the show closed "6pm." she said with a great big sigh.

Me: Where do I buy tickets?

She laughed and kindly pointed me in the direction of the big sign saying "Tickets". As I was walking to the ticket booth I spotted these guys:

What's a comicon without Star Wars characters right?

So after getting my ticket I proceeded to wander towards the entrance very conscious of the fact that I was a girl alone in the world of nerdy guys...hot nerdy guys. I made a lap looking in vain for an [adult swim] booth. I ran upon this guy in the process:

I'm not sure what this is but it's damn cool looking!

As I wandered I saw many other costumed people:

Who ya gonna call?

I don't know, all I know is that she is blue and was hanging out with the Joker.

Can I uh take you home? Er I mean your picture?

The hottest guy at the show no contest!

Yeah I dunno who they are but they looked cool!

Guy 1 (in the background): Dude I think that's blade!
Guy 2: Naw man that can't be him.

I'm Batman. How many times do I have to tell you reporters that?

Not all of my pictures were of people:

The CorpseBride.
Notice the sign next to the figurine....I'm so bad.

Family Guy figures

I also bought lots of stuff.

Slurm with Nutritional Facts about what's is inside.
But I opened it up and all I found was this:

I've got my own Bending Unit!

Bite my shiny metal ass.
It doesn't look so shiny.
It's shinier than yours meatbag.

I'm getting super tired right now typing this out but I must must must show you the comics I bought!! After all it was a Comicon! heh
The first comic I want to show you is one that I saw his big cutout of his characters and I fell in love with his art style.
They are called:

The artwork in this little book is beautiful!

Here is his card the website is not up yet, but for now you can email or call him for orders.

By recommendation of Josh Johnson I bought this comic published by Top Shelf Productions

Which Matt Kidnt signed for me:

I also bought two very new Nancy Drew comic books:

And one called Freaks and Squeeks which has a funny story behind it but I'm waaaay to tired to tell it tonight:
