My name is Marco,I can't tell you my last name obviously.For those of you who don't know it's because of the Yeerks,a race of alien slug parasites, they infest people by crawling inside them,through the ear,then they take over.You ask how I know about them?Well a dieing Andalite prince gave me the power to morph and 4 of my friends.And my mother is one of them,and so is Jake's brother Tom. Jake was even one of them for three days.My mother is Visser1,I have met her twice,she showed no emotion when she saw me,she thought I was a controller.I want to save my mother one day,I may even have to kill my own mother to protect Earth from the Yeerks.I just pray it never comes to that.
Chapter 2
I wanted to kill Jake,he had read my diary,yes I have one.He had found out that I like Rachel,as in like."If you tell anyone you're a dead man Jake." "Don't worry,I'll only tell Rachel."I knew he meant it,so I had to get him back,I had to come up with a plan. So the next day I snuck into the principals office at lunch, Chapman wasn't there.He was our principal,also a powerful controller.I knew how to work the P.A.I sent the message to the cafeteria,where almost everyone was."This is Mr.Chapman,I have a announcement to make.Jake and Cassie really have the hots for each other,and try the subs."I actually said their last names but I can't right them.A controller could read this. I got out of there before anyone could come to see who had made the announcement. We had a meeting in Cassie's barn,it's actualy like a hospital for animals,Cassie loves animals.She helps her dad alot.Everyone knew that I liked Rachel now,I could tell.Everyone kept smirking or giggling. "So,we heard about you and your diary Marco"Rachel said. I had to come up with a come back."Well,me and Jake read yours last week"I lied. "I don't have a diary Marco." "Yeah you do"I said.Jake held up his hand to shut us up,the meeting was serious after all. "I have big news.Tobias and Ax went to the yeerk pool,Visser3 was there.The yeerks took out an Andalite Fighter ship,it was there. And,the Yeerks have a morphing cube."
Chapter 3
It was bad.Way bad.Think about it, if every single Yeerk could morph ,we were screwed.It's bad enough with Visser3 and his morphs. The yeerks would have access to dangerous animals everywhere. "When are we going in?"I asked. "Tonight,we can't wait for them to use it.They have already on a few Hork-Bajiir and some Taxxons.We have to move fast.Tonight at 10 o'clock we go.We have to get the cube or destroy it,if not Earth and every other planet is finnished." "You sure know how to cheer us up" I muttered.No one laughed, we weren't in the laughing mood. It was 9:30,me and Jake were heading to the mall to meet the others.We were not going shopping or to do anything fun.You see, there is an entrance to the yeerk pool in the Gap."Jake,I have a bad feeling about this mission,really bad."We were outside the mall,it was a pretty big mall.I used to love coming here to hangout.Even from outside we could smell the food.Ax was likely trying to rob the place for cinamon buns.It was his favourite food. No,choclate was.We pushed on the doors and went in.Jake finaly nodded,he had been unusally quiet all the way to the mall. He had the same feeling,I could tell. "Maybe we should just blow off the mission and go play some arcade games?"I joked,I was half way joking.Jake and I play at the arcade alot,but not as much as we used to.It just isn't the same anymore, nothing is. We were in the Gap way too soon if you ask me.There were lots of clothes around.We put on an act of looking at some clothes before going into the change rooms one at a time.I opened the passage and stepped onto the ramp leading down into darkness.But I knew the Yeerk pool was down there.I morphed slowly into a gorilla.First of all I grew taller,then my shoulders widened.And my muscels swelled and bulled.Black fur sprouted from my skin and covered my body.I was soon a gorilla.Gorillas are nice creatures,unless you make them mad.And that's one thing you don't want. Gorillas may be a little slow but they are very strong.Soon everyone else was morphed and on the ramp.We had some powerful morphs,I was a Gorilla,Jake went Tiger,Rachel went grizzly bear,Cassie went wolf,Tobias went Hork-Bajiir,and Ax stayed himself.We were going in full force.We went down the ramp charging,there was a very suprised looking controller, he dove of the ramp to avoid us.We entered the huge under ground cavern that was the yeerk pool,that's what it was really,it was a under ground cave with a sludgy pool full of slugs.Right near the yeerk pool was the Andalite fighter,it had burn marks on the side and scratches on the pod at the front.I wondered where they had got it.And worst of all Visser3 was there.He looked like a normal andalite except you could feel his evilness.I know it sounds dumb but you would have to meet him to understand.And if you met him you would be dead,or worse.There were also lots of Hork-Bajiir. Hork-Bajir were once a decent race,Until they were enslaved.I had met two free Hork-Bajiir once,they were nicer then most people.The yeerks had wanted them for their deadly blades.But the blades were used for slashing trees, they ate the bark.Hork-Bajiir are about 7 feet tall,they have two or three blades raked forward on their heads,blades at their wrists,elbows and knees.They had feet like a T-Rex's.They had a spiked tail.And they had a snake like head.The Visser saw us and spoke.[So,you heard that we have the morphing cube,no matter,it's too late.And you will no longer be bothering me, Andalite bandits.Hork-Bajiir,attack.]The Visser left somewhere,we were lucky that he hadn't morphed,as lucky as a guy can get with a bunch of alien lawn mowers from hell charging him. There were about twenty of them.I punched a Hork-Bajiir,he fell to the ground knocked out.I picked him up by the tail and swung him around a few times,I let go and he smashed into a group of Hork-Bajiir.Cassie lunged for a Hork-Bajiirs's neck,she hit her target. Jake was a tornado of teeth and claws,Rachel swatted Hork-Bajiir away like flies,Ax left them with no arms,Tobias slahed at them. But we were not enough,we were loosing.Then a green-blue light filled the room,Ellimist.There was a flash and the Hork-Bajiir were dead,and we were healed.But I knew that was all the help he could give us.Then Visser3 came back,in a different form.He had morphed what he had morphed our first time in the Yeerk pool.It was a creature with 8 heads,and arms and legs.And it shot fire balls. Cassie charged the Visser,she jumped and sunk her teeth into his neck. The Visser shot her with a fire ball,but she still held on. He grabbed her and threw her across the room,she hit the wall and fell to the ground unconscious.Then Visser3 fired eight fire balls at Cassie, they hit her and she caught fire.She was unconsious,she didn't feel anything when she died.[Cassie!]Jake yelled!Jake leapt at the Visser, he was hit over the head by one of the Viser's arms and Jake was knocked out.Rachel swung a masive paw and tore off one of it's heads, the Visser roared in pain.Then he bashed her over the head and she was knocked out.The Visser picked up Jake and Rachel and walked away. We tried to stop him but ten Hork-Bajiir came out and attacked us. picked up two and just threw them across the room,Ax sliced at them, and so did Tobias.Soon only one Hork-Bajiir was left.He pulled out a dracon beam and shot Ax in the chest,at the same time Ax chopped off the Hork-Bajiirs arm.Ax fell to the ground,he wasn't dead,but he was dying.Green blood spilled over his blue fur as I carried him to the space ship.As I stepped into the spaceship I noticed the inside was mostly tan.I saw the morphing cube in the middle of the room.And I saw my mother,Visser1.I knew something was wrong.As I watched her she began to morph.
Chapter 4
She was morphing something that looked like a big lizard.I grabbed her. [Stop!Or I'll kill you.]She demorphed,the scales on her disappeared and her eyes returned to normal.I knew what I had to do.It had been my greatest fear that I would have to do it. [Mom,it's me Marco.I know you can here me.I'm sorry but I have to do this.] For a second I saw my mom,my real mom.She had gained control.But then the Yeerk took over.I broke her neck.I had freed my mother.I had done what needed to be done.The ship lifted up off the ground and we flew out of the Yeerk pool.We went out through an opening in the ceiling.I could see the stars,they brought me no relief.We flew around,looking.Ax wouldn't say what. Then Ax started to slow,we were above a park,a ball diamond.Tobias and I had demorphed,I had cried.Down below us were seven kids playing ball.Three guys and four girls.We landed in the center of the diamond.They noticed us,they sure did.They didn't run though,they just stared in amazement.Ax was healed now,he had morphed and then demorphed so he was healed.He opened the door and and went out.He had the morphing cube.[Don't be afraid.]Ax said. "What are you?You're not going to kill us or anything are you?"A kid my age said.[No,I have come to warn you all.Aliens called Yeerks are taking over your planet.They infest people by going into their ears,and then they take control.] I think he showed them what it looked like,the same way Elfangor had shown us the Yeerks. [We fought them and half of us were captured and killed.You can help us fight them.I can give you all the power to morph.To become any animal you can touch. What are your names?]Their names were Jesse,Joel,Eric,Steff,Kelly,Jen,and Laura.Jesse had brown wavy hair and green eyes.A little short,like me.Joel had blue eyes and blond hair,he was shortest in the group.Steff had brown hair and eyes,and was pretty tall.Jen looked like Rachel sort of.Kelly had blue eyes and brown hair down to her shoulders,a little past.And Laura looked pretty well the same as Kelly,except she had brown eyes.These people would join us to become the new Animorphs.
Chapter 5
"You are going to give us the power to turn into animals to fight aliens?Dude, this is pretty...up right here" Jesse said.I'm not going to repeat that one word I left out.Then he said"I'll do it."And everyone else said they were in.Ax gave them the power to morph,five at a time since only five people could put their hands on it with Ax.We decided to stay where we were.We couldn't go back. They had infested Jake and Rachel no doubt,the Yeerks knew who we were.And we were pretty safe here,we were hours away.We told them all to come back to the ball diamond the next day.Ax drove Tobias and I to the woods where we could stay. I would have to live in the woods too,the Yeerks knew what I looked like. I would need a human morph sooner or later.But right then I wasn't thinking of anything, I was in shock I guess.I needed to sleep,to get away from it all.
Chapter 6
We met the others at the park,and we were now outside a zoo,The Animal Kingdom. What a dumb name.It wasn't very busy,it was in the summer so most people were like in their pools or in Disney Land on the water slides.The others needed to acquire morphs.We had told them how it worked."Ok,split up."Jesse said. "Ax,Tobias and I will wait here for you."Ax and Tobias were in human morph. "Guys,I need to quit for awhile.I need a break.I mean, what happened in the Yeerk pool..."My voice cracked.I looked away. "We understand Marco"Tobias said.The others came back after about thirty minutes,most of them looked preety scared.Jesse had got a white tiger morph, Joel had gotten a lion,Eric had gotten a grizzly bear,Jen had an elephant,Kelly had an alligator,Laura had a rhino, and Steff also had a white tiger morph.We all had our morphs now. Soon we would attack the yeerk pool.
Chapter 7
We were where I used to live,I was in a human morph.We were at the mall,in the Gap again. We went into the dressing room,three at a time.Jesse,Kelly,and I were in first. "We look suspicous.Kelly,take off your clothes and try something on."She hit him.They were all nervous,even though they had practiced morphing."Let's do this" Kelly said.We opened the secret passage and went inside.We began to morph.Soon I was a gorilla,with a white tiger and an aligator.The others came in and morphed. Our team was made up of A Hork-Bajiir,an elephant,an alligator,two tigers,a rhino, a lion,a grizzly bear,a gorilla and an Andalite.We went into the Yeerk pool. Inside it wasn't that heavily guarded,they figured since there were only three of us left that they could handle us,they thought wrong. I saw that there was a Kandrona beside the yeerk pool,it was the size of a car.I saw twenty Hork-Bajiir and thirty Taxxons.We could handle them,no problem.Jen stomped all the Taxxons and the rest of us took the Hork-Bajiir. But something was not right,it was all too easy.Then I saw them step out,Rachel and Jake.
Chapter 8
"We are now Vissers,I am Visser2"Jake said. "And I am Visser4"Rachel said."Now prepare to die." Then Visser3 stepped out.[So,you are only humans,except for Aximilli-Esgarrouth-Isthill.I should have known.You have been brave humans, but know you will die.]Then they all started to morph.Jake turned into a tiger,Rachel an elephant,and Visser3 became a monster.He was a big insectile thing.It looked like an ant with wings and a scorpion tail,it was bigger than a bus.We attacked him. Jen would fight Rachel,Jesse would fight Jake,and the rest of us were taking Visser3.I saw Jen ram Rachel with her tusks,the tusks punctured Rachel's side.Jake and Jesse were slashing and pouncing on each other.I saw Joel and Steff slash at one of his legs,I heard the Visser yell.Visser3 swung his tail at them but he missed.Eric and I grabbed one of the Visser's leg,we were in an agreement on this.We ripped one of his bug legs off and he crashed to the ground.Ax was running towards his head to finish him off when tons of Hork-Bajiir started coming in,like sixty.We had to retreat.We ran up the ramp and demorphed as we ran,they didn't try to follow us.
Chapter 9
We all got out fine and alive.None of us were hurt badly.I was in my the woods,at my mom's grave.My mom's body had been burried when we escaped.I left flowers on her grave.I had never felt so terrible in my whole life. Even worse then when I thought when she first died.Because I had killed her But I had freed her.And I would avenge her death,I would avenge her death, and save my friends. One day...I would.
