Transwarp drive is an experimental technology for increasing the efficiency and speed of starship propulsion systems. Many methods have been used to occupy transwarp speeds in the Federation, yet all have been failures. Most theories for accessing transwarp technology include using a transwarp conduit, or artificially created subspace tunnel, in which normal subspace limitations do not apply. Others have tried to use the theroy that transwarp acts like a containment feild much like transporters have confinment beams. This theory would support the idea that transwarp speeds would allow you to occupy all points of the universe.
