The Multi Vector Assault mode is an experimental tactical procedure available only on the prototype vessel, Prometheus. The MVA mode is controled from the primary vessel where it can either control the other two pieces of the ship directly or use an automated default program. If the subspace connection used to control the other section are jammed, the pieces will simply disengage from the mode and attempt to reconnect with the ship. There are many flaws with the mode though, including the limited control of each section.
