The magic,mystery,and power of the
Goddess is being
awakened everyday in our
consciousness.
She is the symbol of women and
through studying
and experiencing the Goddess we witness
the
magnificence,brillance,and power ot the
feminine.
Our ancestors originally experienced
Goddess
energy
immediately,sensually,and
intimately
though the awsome powers of nature
The Goddess was consistently viewed as
"immanet"
or residing within all beings as
well as with
the universe itself,
inseperable from
the life
force,
the cycle of creation,
and
the
world.
As Starhawk states in her book
Spiral
Dance
(from
which I took my name and wear it
proudly)!!
"The Goddess does not rule the
world;
she is the
world."
Fittingly, an ancient symbol of the
Goddess was the
Uroboros,
the serpent biting it's
tail,
which
represented the cycle of eternity.
Other symbols of the Goddess have included the moon, the earth, and the sun.
The cosmic egg containing all potential, the spiral and the labyrinth were also symbols for portraying the immanence of Goddess energy!!

REMEMBERED PAST
Live lived with dim awareness of pieces
missing
Parts glanced,but scattered.
Repeated attempts to stide though the haze
Leads to the lifting of the
mists,
Discoveries anew about herstory.
She lived, she thrived,she influenced.
She was loved, she was accepted, she was equal.
Only fantastic,concerned efforts
Could nearly bury her,
But light glimmered, though dimly Though the centuries
Bolstered by women's need for each other And something deper, unwrapped, untouched.
A gradual movement to reestablish our
past,
Realign our lives within networks
Of sisters who care, support, learn from each other. An array of facts now validate the known and unknown.
The Goddess has prevailed against all odds.
It is she who helps us define oure lives.
It is she who holds hope for our future.
