CASTING TIME: 1
EFFECT: Causes any metal item (non-magical) to become weak and crusted with rust. Item
can make a saving throw vs. acid to resist this effect. Weapons affected in this way are useless
until properly oiled and cleaned; using the weapon shall cause it to shatter in 1d4 hits. Armor is
treated similarly; if it is not cleaned and polished soon, it will also be permanently damaged.
Rusted armor will shatter in 1d4 hits if used in combat (to be considered a hit, the wearer of the
armor must suffer damage. Rusted items can be repaired with a series of three cleanings and
oilings over the course of three days. If used between cleanings, the item can sustain an
additional 1d4 more hits/per cleaning before being destroyed. Other metal equipment is
destroyed upon first use. This spell only affects items up to LARGE size.
