THE AMBER CARDS

Description; These are large playing cards (about the size of a paper back book). The rear of the card is covered in a complex multi coloured pattern. The front of the card is either blank, white, or has a very detailed (photograph quality) picture of a person on a white background on it.

Abilities;

  1. If a blank card is held a detailed picture of the holder starts to appear on its surface, it looks as if someone is painting the picture. If the card is held for more then a minute then the picture fixes itself otherwise it fades out again when the card is released.
  2. The holder of a card with someone elses picture on it can, by concentrating for 15 seconds, establish telepathic communication with the pictured person for upto 1 hour total per day. For each plane separating the communicators halve the maximum communication time allowed.
  3. While communicating if both parties desire either one can be teleported to the other, because one party is already at the target the error will be no worse then "studied carefully" if the teleport is on the same plane, across the planes move 1 error group worse per plane removed. Each card can perform teleport twice a week.
  4. If both parties have a card of each other then communication time is doubled, ie 2 hours per card, and teleport error is reduced by 1 category per extra card. 1 step above "very familiar" gives a 1% high error, while 2 steps give teleport no error. It is possible to reach a 2 step improvement if more then one person at the target end of the teleport uses a card showing the person who is being teleported.
  5. If a pictured person dies the cards edge will turn black and the card will show, in a 5 minute movie, what fate befell the person. The movie will repeat itself for a week gradually fading out until on the eighth day the card will be blank again and can be attuned to a new user.
The number of cards found is D10; 1-4 = 1 ; 5-7 = 2 ; 8-9 = 3 ; 10 = 4.
Cards found will not always be blank.
Value 20000GPS per card
