SilkAir (Singapore Airlines subsidiary) MI 185 crashed in Palembang, Indonesia at approximately 5.13pm (local time) on Dec 19, 1997 with 104 passengers and crews on board.
The crash of SilkAir MI185 came as a shock to me. I'd
like to extend my deepest sympathy and to offer the encouragement to the relatives,
friends and love ones of the crews and passengers in this ill-fated flight. I hope the
next-of-kins would be brave enough to take up the courage and move on...in this time of bereavement.
